Even Ripple can't use the XRPL DEX for payments yet because we can't be sure a terrorist won't provide the liquditity for payment. Features like permissioned domains will address this. But I don't think one stablecoin can win for several reasons, including that a stablecoin can only be stable relative to one particular fiat currency and will always have jurisdictional ties. If we're in a multi-stablecoin world, it still makes sense to have a bridge asset that serves the long tail of tokenized securities, loan portfolios, and so on. "Why would giants like BlackRock use XRPL for tokenization instead of building their own blockchain? (Robinhood uses Arbitrum and plans their own)" I'm not sure how much that will really matter so long as we have interoperability and asset portability. Multiple chains are a good form of scalability as well. But I think the best way to see why they might is to ask the same question about Circle -- why don't they launch USDC only on their own blockchain? You can see why that's obviously silly. I think the same kind of logic will apply to tokenized real world assets over the next year or two. "Geopolitical risk. Why would foreign countries trust a US based private company payment network?" If you're asking about XRPL, it's not really US based. It has never discriminated against any particular participant and if it ever started to, I would hope people would stop using it. If you mean Ripple's enterprise payment products, we have separately licensed entities in many jurisdictions. But obviously, you're not going to see it in North Korea or Cuba any time soon and their might be, in some cases, pushback to a US company having some control over, say, payments between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. I met @VitalikButerin in 2014 at GE's office in Stamford, Ct. At that point GE was one of the largest companies in the world. Jeff Immelt, the CEO, hosted a small dinner to learn about crypto. @dan_pantera was there as well as Joyce Kim from Ripple/Steller. I wish I had a transcript of all the ideas the four of us threw at the GE team. Most haven't happened yet but I get the sense that they will in the next decade. Blockchains are finally fast enough and are starting to be trusted and regulatory clarity is very close. A toast to the next decade of progress and a big thank you to @VitalikButerin for being an amazing steward of not just $ETH but our entire space.

i never truly understood market mispricing even being in the industry as a trader for the last 5 years until i became a founder you have dead gaming projects with 0 users and adoption still at a billion dollars simply because people recognize them from last cycle the opportunity for getting good bets at a cheap price has to be considered in the context of volume and demand --- at the bottom volume is usually dead and small purchases w/ ripple effects can easily double a mcap of a token people will look back in hindsight and say "oh my god what an obvious mispricing" but won't have conviction at the moment that matters $AXS launched at $30M FDV and went to $40B in ~1 year

ETH is heating up again. Just like in Dec '24 it happened in an extremely short period. All of those tweets comparing its underperformance to other coins instantly memes. This is important because it is the core currency to look at if you believe in alt season. If ETH reclaims its ATH then its discovery season. And last time you had the opportunity to continuously increase your stack with bullish sectors like NFTs. I truly think gaming has another shot at it this time around. It is the single sector that will onboard more users than anyone else and at a pivotal moment right now. As retail enter Crypto, apart from purchasing the top normie coins (Ripple, Cardano, Doge, etc.) they will participate in fun protocols. Just like Axie blew up. Just like StepN.
