最近在试用 Particle News @particle_news,重新思考了 LLM 在交易信息流场景里的价值和边界。Particle是一款非常精致的 AI 新闻产品,在信息广泛&中立性、内容流动性(liquid content)可读可听方面都做得极好。但这种精密打磨的体验和交易型信息系统之间有着结构性分歧,先写出来看能不能帮到也在做类似产品的同僚。 1. 信息不是抓取整合,而是聚类理解。 创始人Sara Beykpour 在访谈中反复强调的“story”概念我非常认同,这也是他们的核心亮点之一,强调信息并不是被“抓取并整合”的,而是被“聚类并理解”的。 如果信息只是无脑抓取和串联,那下游的所有排序、可信度评估都会变得模糊。尤其是交易类场景下的信息密度极高、实时性要求强、上下文跨度大,就更不能让大模型“自由理解”,而是要先由 AI 进行一轮结构化的语义聚类,把碎片信息组织成若干个紧凑、有内在因果线索的“事件簇”(stories)。 2. LLM 的优势与盲区:中立性、因果性 vs 预测力 - LLM 在moderation 上的风格控制/观点情绪中立上优势明显。但经由聚合+许多post-eval之后会牺牲时效性和结构张力。 - LLM 擅长做因果链判断,cause & effect分析,在一些bullet point中间去提炼非常nuanced的事物之间是否有关联性,尤其是“影响路径”、“上下游反应”等方面,会成为交易重要的逻辑之一。 - LLM并不擅长预测。作为统计语言模型,天然地会放大“主流意见”或“高频信号”。我们自己的观测是AI总是“过度乐观”,而 Sara 的判断则是:“如果很多人说 A 队会赢,模型就会以为 A 队赢了。”预测是 LLM 的大盲区,不应把它当作 signal engine 使用。反观类似同花顺问财,或者Rockflow的Bobby类开放式问答+预测的chatbot产品,是否能突破这个限制还是被trapped还有待观察。 3. 替代预测的策略:因果链 + 结构性时间轴 如果预测是LLM目前的硬伤,在不做预测且对时效性要求高的情况下,保留类似tradingview calendar和cause & effect板块会非常有用。推断某件事是否与另一件事相关,以及事件发展的相对顺序和触发因子。这种判断也足以为交易系统建立信息偏差模型,不需真正的 forecasting。 4. evaluation工作: evaluation绝对是非常精细化&具有指向性的工作。比如克制地限制表达方式:每句话只能有一个观点,避免从句;比如“暗示”=“观点”,避免模糊结论;比如summary不能超过 X 字,一旦有主观色彩或“intentional expression”,就被当成错误。当然针对每个单元内容的“criticial”程度也有量化,为了更好地让下面要讲的pipeline自动运转。 整个 pipeline 是 async 的、可重复执行的:只要 eval 检查不过,就自动重启任务。所以模型每次只需完成一个小任务,例如判断事件是否发生,或者输出一个不含暗示性的 summary,而不是在一轮中完成全部推理和表达。这种做法的底层逻辑是把生成拆成多个可检验、可复用的小任务,每一个都可以被 reality-check,最大程度避免幻觉和倾向性。 5. 从 prototype 到高质量AI内容的完整生产线 Sara 分享他们做moderation系统的完整的流程:首先在测试环境中写一个 prompt,设置五个问题,然后越狱or打破结构or忘记context,一直到模型表现出稳定且质量不错的行为为止,prompt 可以长达几百行。 当 prompt 初步稳定后,就交给技术团队,把 prompt 模板拆成组件并放入 async pipeline 里,跑所有其他问题做 offline analysis。最后再开始 live question 测试,让系统在真实场景下运行,这时才正式加入 evaluation。 总结来说如果你想构建一个AI辅助的信息聚合&推送系统,不要幻想大模型直接给出 alpha;所有用AI做预测告诉你购买哪个标的的都是诈骗。真正的 know-how 是结构、流程和校验系统 ,让LLM在架构下变得可靠。

We can address core issues like game experience and stability without juggling external vendor priorities (e.g., mobile, translations, battle pass changes). Right now, our roadmap is razor-focused on those two pillars: game experience and game stability. Veen: To build on Fitch’s point: some assumed we’d be micromanaged or resource-constrained. In reality, Kalos (Parallel’s CEO) empowers us. His role is to push the studio toward future opportunities, but he doesn’t micromanage day-to-day. As a result, we have the largest team we’ve ever had on the TCG side, and we’re able to move quickly. 2. Technical Debt: The “Monkey’s-Paw” Code Looking back at when you began migrating Q2–Q4 2024, what was your “aha” moment—when you realized Parallel could truly own and scale the game long-term? It happened on two occasions: - Tournament Patch Fix: During a tournament, we discovered a bug between Top 16 and Top 8. Because we were fully in-house, our engineers fixed and deployed it almost instantly. Previously, it would have taken days of cross‐time‐zone emails with a third-party vendor. That proved we could iterate at scale. - Shotgun Patch Planning: We pitched a massive set of balance and UI changes (the “Shotgun Patch”) with the expectation it would take multiple sprints. The engineers told us they could deliver it in under one sprint—because they had the proper tools, codebase access, and resources. That convinced us we truly have a capable, in-house team. An anecdote underscores the legacy tech debt. We once handed the old vendor a build that included “Alpha” cards, and when we tried to add new cards, the code simply wouldn’t expand. It was built only to support what already existed—no room for future sets. Unpacking that kind of fundamental limitation showcased the magnitude of debt we faced. Now, that core work is mostly complete; we’re almost at the finish line. 3. Go Fast Patch: <300 ms → <1 ms Serialization Talk more about the engineering breakthrough that cut server‐response times from 300 ms to less than 1 ms. How will players notice this day to day? Veen: Originally, every action the client took required a “ping” to the server, which took ~300 ms just to check, “Is the game in a valid state?” Then the server would respond, “Yes,” and the client would proceed. That lag prevented action queuing and made animations feel sluggish. - Serialization Rewrite: We rewrote how we serialize game state requests/responses. We removed unnecessary steps, reordered logic, and ensured minimal overhead. - Unity Upgrade: We upgraded to a newer Unity version, which increased server tick rates. Porting to the new engine wasn’t free—it required code refactoring—but it was necessary. Now, “Do action → Check with server → Proceed” all happens in under 1 ms. Players will notice dramatically faster responsiveness when queuing actions (e.g., dragging cards, flipping multiple cards, or executing board-wide effects). Nicole: From QA and design’s perspective, the risk is that “any single card” in the game references the server to confirm “OK” before progressing. We have to ensure no card’s logic breaks under the new serialization. Testing is exhaustive: we must verify that every interaction still works for “all cards in play” before declaring the patch safe. 4. Mobile MVP: “Crucible” of Discovery Mobile client looks solid, but core screens like deck builder are still missing. What lessons did you learn retrofitting a PC‐first TCG for phones? Nicole: - UI Redesign: The PC layout assumed large text and full‐screen asset loading. On mobile, that translates to unreadable text and crashes. We had to rebuild the UI: larger buttons, touch‐friendly navigation, and a mobile‐optimized layout. - Incremental Asset Loading: Originally, the collection screen loaded every single card asset at once—obviously impossible on a phone. We refactored to paginate and “stream” assets, so only a subset loads at any time. - MVP Prioritization: We shipped the core gameplay client first, then backfilled “nice-to-have” screens. Deck builder and battle pass are actively in development: deck builder should arrive in the next ~2 months, and battle pass is slated for patch 6.6. Veen: Going mobile revealed hidden tech debt—some systems we thought were “good enough” suddenly became blockers. But now that the mobile port is “mostly done,” we can reallocate engineers back to deeper systemic problems. 5. Public Test Server (PTS): Phased Rollout When can we expect the PTS, and how will it function? Nicole: We’re rolling it out in two phases: - Phase 1: Go Fast Patch Testing (Within the next 2 weeks) Community can log in and stress-test new serialization logic. We’ll collect bug reports for any regressions. - Phase 2: Deception Set Preview (Mid‐July) We’ll open a full PTS environment with Deception cards in-built. - Balance changes will occur in real time based on community feedback—paired with an “Echelon‐sanctioned” PTS tournament for stress testing. Veen: PTS bug reports are incredibly valuable. We’ve had real-time Slack notifications: someone files a bug, and within minutes, an engineer asks for reproduction steps. That speed is new for Parallel TCG. 6. Deception Set: “Best-Prepared Ever” What new narratives or mechanics does Deception open up that you couldn’t tackle before? Veen: Because design, lore, and engineering timelines were aligned months in advance: - Cohesive Paragon Design: Each Paragon’s core trait now ties directly into a narrative arc. For instance, “Stealth” faction cards are offset by Deception’s AOE answers. - Faucet‐Distributed Format Staples: We want free‐to‐play players to have competitive access. Two examples: - Bombardment (4 mana, universal common): “Deal 3 damage to all units.” This is the first reliable AOE answer in Parallel. - Black Market Connections (1 mana, universal uncommon): “Create 3 Mercenary Gunslinger tokens (unbankable) in your hand.” A power‐level equalizer against flooded boards. Those two cards will be available via the “faucet” (free weekly drops) on launch day—so every account has them. Fitch: This is the first time Parallel has aligned all teams far enough in advance that “everything from card scripting to VFX to lore writing” happens in parallel, rather than sequentially. It’s why Deception will, we believe, be the smoothest set drop to date. 7. Quick Play Mode: “One‐Click, One‐Queue” What is Quick Play, and how does it replace Rookie Queue + Unranked? Nicole: - Single “Play” Button: New players hit “Play” and get matched automatically—no separate Rookie vs. Unranked funnel. - Adaptive Matchmaking: If you keep losing to real players, the system sends you vs. bots. If you beat bots consistently, you face live opponents. - Immediate Rewards: After every match, players earn appearance‐specific rewards (e.g., Apparition packs, card scrap, maybe even Paragon unlock choices). - Retention Focus: The goal is to boost Day 1/3/7 retention by minimizing idle time between matches and providing a “flow” of progression. Veen: We studied other TCGs (Marvel Snap, etc.) and saw how a “continuous play loop” keeps people engaged. Quick Play arrives in patch 6.6. It’s not “1.0”—we’ll iterate on UX, add more animations, and tweak matchmaking parameters based on telemetry and PTS feedback. 8. Team Roles & Morale Fitch mentioned the team is larger than ever. Who is handling what? Fitch: - Kalos (CEO): Sets strategic vision; finds emerging tech opportunities; “always keeps us relevant.” - Nicole (Delivery Director/Superproducer): Orchestrates tickets, cross‐team assignments, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks. “If a Jira ticket needs creation, Nicole usually already created it and assigned it before I even finish speaking.” - Andrew Veen (Game Director): Leads set design, balance, PTS iterations, and competitive features (Draft, Quick Play). - Engineering Leads (including Dave): Focus on deep tech refactors—serialization, engine upgrades, and PTS infrastructure. All told, it’s the strongest collective of TCG‐specific talent Parallel has ever had. 9. Draft Mode: “The Next Priority” Once stability and mobile are squared away, what’s next? Veen: Draft Mode is our top post‐stability priority: - Design Blueprint Ready: We have a fully fleshed-out Draft format (4–8 players, 78‐card rounds, timing structure, pass directions). - Internal Prototype (Design Only): We already tested drafting “buckets” and Paragon assignments. - Engineering Awaiting PTS Flags: We need PTS infrastructure flags to test drafted decks vs. drafted decks. - Timeline: Draft won’t ship in the next 3‐month window—after Quick Play and mobile deck builder, we dive into Draft engineering. Expect a 2025 target. Fitch: Draft will be a game‐changer, giving players constantly shifting metas. It will integrate seamlessly with the job Parallel is doing on balance, PTS, and competitive support. 10. UX & Visual Polish (Post-Deficit) There’s talk of removing the “fishing line” drag animation. Was just in a tier 3 data center that'll probably colocate my GPUs in a few months. Sci Fi shit. Fully dry environment, no water cooling or water based fire control, all dry fire control through massive tubes spanning the facility. Zero components outside the building - no aircon, no power units. Direct input from nuclear power plant, plus three massive engines that kick in within 30 seconds of power failure, and have enough oil underground to work for 2 days and power the DC at 100% before needing to be topped up. Fully air tight, massive aircon keeping rooms cool by circulating and filtering air. Immense power supply for each rack. Dozens of camera systems per floor, no dead angles. Real time air particle analysis and prevention of fires by anticipating cable deterioration through airborne heated microplastics, shit like that. Realized how little I know about modern network connectivity and computer infra, RAIDing and all that. Feeling very much like a boomer. Built hundreds of PCs in my life, but I would be completely lost here. Time to learn.

Fitch: Moving fully in-house feels liberating—we have the freedom to execute on new game modes, change how the cadence of set releases works, and reintroduce lore into the game. We can address core issues like game experience and stability without juggling external vendor priorities (e.g., mobile, translations, battle pass changes). Right now, our roadmap is razor-focused on those two pillars: game experience and game stability. Veen: To build on Fitch’s point: some assumed we’d be micromanaged or resource-constrained. In reality, Kalos (Parallel’s CEO) empowers us. His role is to push the studio toward future opportunities, but he doesn’t micromanage day-to-day. As a result, we have the largest team we’ve ever had on the TCG side, and we’re able to move quickly. 2. Technical Debt: The “Monkey’s-Paw” Code Looking back at when you began migrating Q2–Q4 2024, what was your “aha” moment—when you realized Parallel could truly own and scale the game long-term? It happened on two occasions: - Tournament Patch Fix: During a tournament, we discovered a bug between Top 16 and Top 8. Because we were fully in-house, our engineers fixed and deployed it almost instantly. Previously, it would have taken days of cross‐time‐zone emails with a third-party vendor. That proved we could iterate at scale. - Shotgun Patch Planning: We pitched a massive set of balance and UI changes (the “Shotgun Patch”) with the expectation it would take multiple sprints. The engineers told us they could deliver it in under one sprint—because they had the proper tools, codebase access, and resources. That convinced us we truly have a capable, in-house team. An anecdote underscores the legacy tech debt. We once handed the old vendor a build that included “Alpha” cards, and when we tried to add new cards, the code simply wouldn’t expand. It was built only to support what already existed—no room for future sets. Unpacking that kind of fundamental limitation showcased the magnitude of debt we faced. Now, that core work is mostly complete; we’re almost at the finish line. 3. Go Fast Patch: <300 ms → <1 ms Serialization Talk more about the engineering breakthrough that cut server‐response times from 300 ms to less than 1 ms. How will players notice this day to day? Veen: Originally, every action the client took required a “ping” to the server, which took ~300 ms just to check, “Is the game in a valid state?” Then the server would respond, “Yes,” and the client would proceed. That lag prevented action queuing and made animations feel sluggish. - Serialization Rewrite: We rewrote how we serialize game state requests/responses. We removed unnecessary steps, reordered logic, and ensured minimal overhead. - Unity Upgrade: We upgraded to a newer Unity version, which increased server tick rates. Porting to the new engine wasn’t free—it required code refactoring—but it was necessary. Now, “Do action → Check with server → Proceed” all happens in under 1 ms. Players will notice dramatically faster responsiveness when queuing actions (e.g., dragging cards, flipping multiple cards, or executing board-wide effects). Nicole: From QA and design’s perspective, the risk is that “any single card” in the game references the server to confirm “OK” before progressing. We have to ensure no card’s logic breaks under the new serialization. Testing is exhaustive: we must verify that every interaction still works for “all cards in play” before declaring the patch safe. 4. Mobile MVP: “Crucible” of Discovery Mobile client looks solid, but core screens like deck builder are still missing. What lessons did you learn retrofitting a PC‐first TCG for phones? Nicole: - UI Redesign: The PC layout assumed large text and full‐screen asset loading. On mobile, that translates to unreadable text and crashes. We had to rebuild the UI: larger buttons, touch‐friendly navigation, and a mobile‐optimized layout. - Incremental Asset Loading: Originally, the collection screen loaded every single card asset at once—obviously impossible on a phone. We refactored to paginate and “stream” assets, so only a subset loads at any time. - MVP Prioritization: We shipped the core gameplay client first, then backfilled “nice-to-have” screens. Deck builder and battle pass are actively in development: deck builder should arrive in the next ~2 months, and battle pass is slated for patch 6.6. Veen: Going mobile revealed hidden tech debt—some systems we thought were “good enough” suddenly became blockers. But now that the mobile port is “mostly done,” we can reallocate engineers back to deeper systemic problems. 5. Public Test Server (PTS): Phased Rollout When can we expect the PTS, and how will it function? Nicole: We’re rolling it out in two phases: - Phase 1: Go Fast Patch Testing (Within the next 2 weeks) Community can log in and stress-test new serialization logic. We’ll collect bug reports for any regressions. - Phase 2: Deception Set Preview (Mid‐July) We’ll open a full PTS environment with Deception cards in-built. - Balance changes will occur in real time based on community feedback—paired with an “Echelon‐sanctioned” PTS tournament for stress testing. Veen: PTS bug reports are incredibly valuable. We’ve had real-time Slack notifications: someone files a bug, and within minutes, an engineer asks for reproduction steps. That speed is new for Parallel TCG. 6. Deception Set: “Best-Prepared Ever” What new narratives or mechanics does Deception open up that you couldn’t tackle before? Veen: Because design, lore, and engineering timelines were aligned months in advance: - Cohesive Paragon Design: Each Paragon’s core trait now ties directly into a narrative arc. For instance, “Stealth” faction cards are offset by Deception’s AOE answers. - Faucet‐Distributed Format Staples: We want free‐to‐play players to have competitive access. Two examples: - Bombardment (4 mana, universal common): “Deal 3 damage to all units.” This is the first reliable AOE answer in Parallel. - Black Market Connections (1 mana, universal uncommon): “Create 3 Mercenary Gunslinger tokens (unbankable) in your hand.” A power‐level equalizer against flooded boards. Those two cards will be available via the “faucet” (free weekly drops) on launch day—so every account has them. Fitch: This is the first time Parallel has aligned all teams far enough in advance that “everything from card scripting to VFX to lore writing” happens in parallel, rather than sequentially. It’s why Deception will, we believe, be the smoothest set drop to date. 7. Quick Play Mode: “One‐Click, One‐Queue” What is Quick Play, and how does it replace Rookie Queue + Unranked? Nicole: - Single “Play” Button: New players hit “Play” and get matched automatically—no separate Rookie vs. Unranked funnel. - Adaptive Matchmaking: If you keep losing to real players, the system sends you vs. bots. If you beat bots consistently, you face live opponents. - Immediate Rewards: After every match, players earn appearance‐specific rewards (e.g., Apparition packs, card scrap, maybe even Paragon unlock choices). - Retention Focus: The goal is to boost Day 1/3/7 retention by minimizing idle time between matches and providing a “flow” of progression. Veen: We studied other TCGs (Marvel Snap, etc.) and saw how a “continuous play loop” keeps people engaged. Quick Play arrives in patch 6.6. It’s not “1.0”—we’ll iterate on UX, add more animations, and tweak matchmaking parameters based on telemetry and PTS feedback. 8. Team Roles & Morale Fitch mentioned the team is larger than ever. Who is handling what? DUMB ANTS Ever stood in awe in front of an anthill and wondered how these tiny creatures are able to coordinate with their minuscule brains and their short legs the construction of such a - compared to their body size - huge infrastructure? This amazing feat is nothing short of us humans building a one mile high skyscraper for a few million residents. Now imagine you as a human could make contact with the ant scientists and engineers and they started to explain to you the laws of the universe and how the world works. Wouldn’t you as human start smiling and thinking to yourself: “These ants are smart and dumb at the same time. They only know a few meters around their ant hill and now firmly believe to know how the universe works…” This leads us to the great Albert Einstein. Among other he established the famous physics law that nothing in the universe can be faster than the speed of light. Shortly after he was challenged with quantum physics, and the phenomenon of “quantum entanglement”. Quantum entanglement is the fact that one particle can assume instantaneously the qualities of another far away particle, at inexplicable speeds much (!!) higher than the speed of light. Einstein famously stated that quantum physics is “nonsense”. Quantum entanglement of course has been confirmed with many experiments in the meantime and even the Nobel Prize was awarded to three of the key researchers in 2022. Still no physicist is able to explain the mind boggling speed with which particles can connect with each other over extremely large distances and exchange information, as – you might have guessed it – no one dares to challenge the holy cow – that nothing can be faster than the speed of light. There is another nail in the coffin of the speed of light paradigm: we know that gravitational effects expand at much (!!) higher speeds than the speed of light. No one dares to openly question certain obviously wrong assumptions of traditional physics, fearing the wrath of the establishment. I don’t want to delve into our own research concerning the Cal Shaloud quantum net here, as otherwise someone might say that I am biased. The undeniable facts are, that not only our own Cal Shaloud quantum net but other well established instances in physics show transmission speeds of far (!!) higher than the speed of light. “Far higher” means not only a couple of percentage points higher than the speed of light but faster and higher by a factor of several 1000s or millions. There is no “spooky action” where some ghosts transfer information between particles, which are many 1000 kms apart. This information transfer happens, it is real. And it happens at speeds much much faster than the speed of light – unimaginable to us humans. The same is true for the propagation of gravitational effects – the “force” of gravity works much faster than the speed of light. Time for some new ideas, and above all back to the drawing board for traditional mainstream physics.

recently I stepped into the role of COO at particle been growing toward this position for some time but glad to officially drive things forward in this capacity. I've talked about this before, but I joined @ParticleNtwrk a few months after my 17th birthday, because I wanted to contribute to a vision that I felt personally aligned with; that being radically improving web3's user experience. I was hesitant to even interview at first because I wasn't itching to change positions necessarily, but after a 30 minute chat with @0xpengyu, I got on a flight to San Francisco the next day so that we could meet in-person spent the afternoon talking about the "why" of particle and the long-term vision; sold me. I dropped out of high school and went all in shortly after. since that point, around august 2023, we've gone through alot of growth and change most notably, taking a massive bet on chain abstraction in early 2024 (which paid off). thousands of hours later, which consisted of more podcasts, panels, and content than I can recall, alongside relentless delivering of a product roadmap, and we're now here: post-TGE, growing the first chain-agnostic trading platform (genuinely a superior product to virtually everything else in its category), and delivering chain abstraction to apps across nearly every vertical. we haven't done it perfectly (no one does), but we're doing what we set out to do, and doing it successfully so far the core reason I've personally dedicated so much to particle over the past ~2 years has been because I truly believe in the team we've built and the (pretty much unwavering) vision that I originally joined for. My best friend died almost a decade ago from a heart attack. He was running on the treadmill while we were all on vacation together. We are absolutely not. As I often remind our team: stay united, stay focused. That’s also why last post was published late last night—Thursday afternoons and evenings are typically when we do our weekly reviews, including separate review sessions for product & engineering, marketing, and growth. By the time all those meetings wrapped up, it was nearly midnight, and then I spent 30 minutes writing that post. The reason I disclosed my personal holdings in that post was to help everyone better understand our fundamental identity: Builder + Founder + Holder — a composite role. From this perspective, our thinking has always been centered around how Particle can win—and win in the long term. Because that’s the only way to maximize the value of this composite identity. The way we want to win: • Real external revenue • Price action that drives value discovery • Sustained second-phase growth from continuous product innovation • A long-term, aligned community shaped by mutual filtering The hardest challenge in all this is achieving real, scalable external revenue. Particle’s core revenue comes from two sources: 1. Official apps (or app families) like UniversalX and future ones like UniversalE, UniversalP, etc. 2. Commissions captured from dApp transaction volumes via Particle Chain + Infra. Let me break down the business model. 1. Revenue from official apps This is straightforward: we calculate revenue based on each app’s business model, then sum it up. For example, for UniversalX (our chain abstraction spot trading platform), it’s based on trading fees. For UniversalE (a chain abstraction version of a DeFi savings product), it’s based on interest spread. All revenue from official apps is then added together. 2. Revenue from Particle Chain and infrastructure This follows the same logic as any public chain’s monetization. But we believe that in the current environment, building a permissionless, general-purpose L1 with a traditional PMF for all types of developers is weak, and there’s no visible path to growth. So, the positioning of Particle Chain is different: it’s more like a relay chain, purpose-built to serve dApps related to liquidity. Here’s an example: A perp trading protocol on BNB Chain is on the Universal Account SDK waiting list. Once it integrates with Particle Chain, users can open perp positions on that BNB-based dApp using USDC from Solana or Base—without bridging. That BNB perp is now effectively deployed across BNB Chain + Particle Chain + Any Chain. What’s even cooler: All dApps integrated with Universal Account (aka Particle Chain) share liquidity, user accounts, and funds. So, a meme trader on UniversalX can directly put their profits into that BNB Chain-based perp without needing to transfer funds or re-login. Another example: A DeFi yield protocol on Base integrated with Universal Account can now receive trading income from any other app in the ecosystem. We’re essentially unifying the entire Web3, breaking down all walled gardens, and doing it in a way that is least disruptive and lowest cost for developers. Particle earns revenue by taking a cut of any cross-chain behavior from any dApp. In the above example, every perp order placed with SOL on BNB incurs a Particle take rate. If that still feels abstract, think of it this way: We’re using L1-level tech to offer a fully chain-abstracted, real-time settlement layer embedded into any dApp, unifying all funds and user accounts. That covers our two main revenue sources. Now let’s talk about how we’ll grow revenue from the first one—Particle’s official apps. At this stage, the main priority is growing and monetizing UniversalX. Before laying out our strategy, let’s look at our strengths: 1. One of only two trading apps listed in the App Store 2. One of only two that insist on self-custody 3. The only one using decentralized methods to achieve chain abstraction 4. One of the few with a token (noting that $PARTI ≠ UX) 5. One of the few teams capable of both Chinese and non-Chinese global growth 6. Now, I’d like to talk about two widely discussed topics lately: 1. The impact of other CEXs enabling users to buy onchain assets directly with their centralized balances. This looks like chain abstraction, but in reality, it’s not related. True chain abstraction must be decentralized and non-custodial. If you’re handing over funds to a centralized party to help you buy assets across chains, that’s already been possible for a long time — there’s no real technical innovation or moat there. Particle’s chain abstraction solution offers three core advantages: • a) Non-custodial implementation with performance comparable to a centralized trading bot. • b) A decentralized structure that provides a user experience close to that of a centralized exchange. • c) Unlimited scalability to any chain and dApp, without limiting developers. Will these pseudo chain abstraction features intensify user competition? To some extent, yes. But the market ceiling is still very high and it’s still early. We believe we have a strong shot at leading — we’re a native onchain infra team, we don’t bear the security risks of holding user funds, and while CEX-native features may appeal to their existing users, we’re not necessarily at a disadvantage when it comes to onboarding entirely new users onchain. Plus, we may even have a sharper eye for real onchain demand, and we’re more agile — not tied down by a CEX’s product architecture. 2. What is the Particle Chain for? Is Particle = UniversalX? Particle Chain is used to coordinate and settle chain abstraction transactions. Apps can also be built on it, but these will all focus on chain abstraction use cases — for example, chain-abstracted lending, asset management protocols, or even stablecoins. We accept complaints about price, but please don’t be misled by baseless rumors about the team dumping. 2. We are delivering our public roadmap with high quality and strict standards. 3. Price is something we’re well aware of. We’ll be executing some strategies soon, but timing still plays a critical role in solving this issue. Now, I’d like to talk about two widely discussed topics lately: 1. The impact of other CEXs enabling users to buy onchain assets directly with their centralized balances. This looks like chain abstraction, but in reality, it’s not related. True chain abstraction must be decentralized and non-custodial. If you’re handing over funds to a centralized party to help you buy assets across chains, that’s already been possible for a long time — there’s no real technical innovation or moat there. Particle’s chain abstraction solution offers three core advantages: • a) Non-custodial implementation with performance comparable to a centralized trading bot. • b) A decentralized structure that provides a user experience close to that of a centralized exchange. • c) Unlimited scalability to any chain and dApp, without limiting developers. Will these pseudo chain abstraction features intensify user competition? To some extent, yes. But the market ceiling is still very high and it’s still early. We believe we have a strong shot at leading — we’re a native onchain infra team, we don’t bear the security risks of holding user funds, and while CEX-native features may appeal to their existing users, we’re not necessarily at a disadvantage when it comes to onboarding entirely new users onchain. Plus, we may even have a sharper eye for real onchain demand, and we’re more agile — not tied down by a CEX’s product architecture. 2. What is the Particle Chain for? Is Particle = UniversalX? I am sad ☹️ to be proven correct but since truth is now out I will confess. The United State is slowly realizing there is no way to stop Chinese lithography industry. Sanctions have been misapplied and the industry has reached escape velocity. ASML sees writing on wall and this why they open service facility in Beijing. They have no choice but to service older machines or risk being shut out of the market forever. TSMC is aware of this for many months and all senior leadership has been a warning of risk we may lose competitiveness on mature nodes. As for EUV light generation the progress Beijing has made has been astonishing...😲 The DeepSeek moment in lithography I hinted before is sooner than many realize. I try not to cause panic before but I say this now with hope my voice gets heard by those who can influence government: ******ese & U.S. government have been aware for many months that Beijing is developing an EUV mega source. This source is called the "High Energy Photon Source" (HEEPS) it is a storage ring synchrotron particle accelerator and is planned to provide 1000x more power than a single ASML High NA machine. There are plans to distribute the light to multiple semiconductor fabrication plants similar to the way a power plant distributes electricity. The construction of the facility is estimated to reach completion soon and is the CCP and Chinese Academia of Sciences top priority. I am attaching images for reference. It is time for United States to start a similar effort and treat high power EUV light source as national security priority !!! We need a Manhattan project for lithography!!! The move of TSMC R&D facility and members to Arizona was not coincidence ! It is the first step of a long road to self sufficiency for USA semiconductors. A project I have mentioned a couple of times in here, Particle Network, just conducted their TGE today for their token $PARTI. Main player in chain abstraction right now it seems, building Universal Accounts; basically lets you spend balances from any X number of chains without bridging. Already implemented in @UseUniversalX, sort of a CEX-like experience onchain. Buy/sell tokens on any chain with assets held across any number of networks. E.g. buying a token on Solana using USDC from Base and Ethereum. A really cool idea, which is why I invested in @ParticleNtwrk in the first place. UniversalX has generated over $4M in revenue from 1.2 M+ trades since its V2 launch a couple of months ago. With every transaction through Universal Accounts, $PARTI is consumed, linking its value directly to adoption. Universal Accounts have solid potential to scale as purely infra if chain abstraction takes off, which could mean corresponding demand for $PARTI; essentially a bet on chain abstraction.
