Developers dependent on our endpoints will need to switch to alternative community-hosted endpoints. We recommend using @polka_chu’s testnet API for continued access. Reopening the bridge allows users to send LUNC & USTC bridged to Ethereum mainnet, BNB Chain (BSC), and Harmony network back to Terra Classic. The bridge will remain open from now until 30 days after the effective date of Terraform Lab’s chapter 11 plan, which is estimated to be on or around 30 October 2024 (based on an anticipated September 30 effective date, which is subject to change). Opening the bridge gives you the opportunity to redeem your assets and use them as you wish. Please ensure you redeem your assets as soon as possible to avoid any issues. After the bridge closes, any user assets still in the contracts will be burned, and the bridge will be permanently shut down. Pursuant to TFL’s settlement with the SEC and implementation of its proposed chapter 11 plan, TFL will no longer have the ability to support future chain upgrades. @terra_money· about 1 year agoYesterday, the Terra blockchain was the target of a malicious attack exploiting a Cosmos chain vulnerability, resulting in the unauthorized withdrawal of approximately $4 million worth of assets. When alerted to the presence of the vulnerability yesterday morning, we immediately coordinated with validators to halt the chain, and then pushed out a software upgrade to patch the vulnerability. We have also taken action to blacklist the exploiter’s wallet on Terra. We will share a more detailed breakdown of events when we have conclusively established the facts of the incident.

Transactions are now being processed, and users may resume normal activities. Validators holding over 67% of the voting power on Terra have upgraded their nodes to prevent the exploit from recurring. More validators are expected to upgrade soon.
