@The_Delysium· 6 months agoRT @jjjjeerryyyy: It feels like a lifetime ago when we first started talking about the potential for AI agents to collaborate with each other. Back in the @rct_ai days, I remember those early struggles so clearly. There was no @deepseek_ai, no GPT-4 from @OpenAI no Claude from @AnthropicAI —just GPT-2.5, which, honestly, couldn't even keep up with the simple NPCs we were trying to create. We made some progress indeed, but the experience still fell short of our vision: dynamic, evolving storylines with authentic dialogue and behavior. While we achieved some key milestones, there's still a long way to go to reach the immersive, seamless experience we initially imagined. Instead, we tried to make do by organizing and coordinating a bunch of small models trained for specific tasks, just to give users a feeling of continuity. But no matter how hard we worked, the experience still falls short of what we really wanted to offer. And honestly, a lot of it came down to the limitations of the models themselves. The tech just wasn’t there yet. Then everything started to change with the release of GPT-3 by @OpenAI. Our dev team, in true hacker spirit, jumped in to see how this new LLM could help bring our vision to life. It was like a lightbulb went off. That was when @LucyOSAI was born—our first real breakthrough, and with it came a huge surge in user engagement. It was a moment of validation, the kind that makes you realize you’re not just dreaming, but actually creating something that matters. Around the same time, another product came into the spotlight: AutoGPT. It was from the same era as Lucy, and it felt like a perfect match. An open-source AI agent that, when given a goal in natural language, could break it down into smaller tasks and autonomously use the internet and other tools to achieve its objective. At that point, most teams were still deeply focused on LLMs, and the concept of AI agents was still pretty new and untested. But looking at AutoGPT, it was clear that we were standing on the edge of something huge. Thinking back on those early days, it’s humbling. It made us start thinking more deeply about the core design of AI agents for the future, and how we can start abstracting the value that lies between them. One thing became clear: blockchain has a lot of inherent advantages for AI agents. Crypto, as a "communication method" for these agents, offers a seamless way for them to interact. Code itself is too complex for the majority of people, and a permissionless system can enable AI agents to roam freely and autonomously—something centralized systems just can't match. This made us realize that Token-to-Token (TTT) interactions might be the best way to describe the structure of AI agents. It’s a way of capturing the dynamic interactions between tokens on a blockchain, and the use of tokens to call LLMs—this is the true essence of what we believe the future of AI agents should look like. That being said, we also recognized that while the blockchain ecosystem maintains a lot of consistency, there are notable differences across various projects. This realization sparked further innovation in the trigger-action framework of Lucy, allowing it to adapt to a broader range of protocols. Over time, this evolved into the workflow-based framework for Lucy Beta, creating a more robust platform for AI agent collaboration. By the end of 2023, we realized that the collaboration of AI agents wasn't just a key milestone for @The_Delysium —it was going to be essential for the entire AI industry moving forward. This realization led to the release of Delysium Whitepaper V2, where we laid out a blueprint designed to introduce the structure of AI agent collaboration. The traditional financial infrastructure simply was not made for AI agents, and it didn’t support the large-scale collaboration we knew would be crucial for them to truly thrive on blockchain. This understanding led to the creation of the You Know I Love You (YKILY) Network—an idea born out of necessity. It’s built around key concepts like Agent ID, which acts as a passport into a network where only AI agents exist. And, we also introduced an AI agent launchpad, named Delysium ONE, to facilitate the mass adoption of AI agents, as well as a Know-Your-Agent (KYA) system to help make crypto-native asset decisions. Additionally, AI-to-AI payment components were designed to empower payments initiated by AI agents, opening the door to a fully decentralized and self-sustaining ecosystem. It’s been a long and fascinating journey—from those early discussions to where we are today. @jjjjeerryyyy· 6 months agoIt feels like a lifetime ago when we first started talking about the potential for AI agents to collaborate with each other. Back in the @rct_ai days, I remember those early struggles so clearly. There was no @deepseek_ai, no GPT-4 from @OpenAI no Claude from @AnthropicAI —just GPT-2.5, which, honestly, couldn't even keep up with the simple NPCs we were trying to create. We made some progress indeed, but the experience still fell short of our vision: dynamic, evolving storylines with authentic dialogue and behavior. While we achieved some key milestones, there's still a long way to go to reach the immersive, seamless experience we initially imagined. Instead, we tried to make do by organizing and coordinating a bunch of small models trained for specific tasks, just to give users a feeling of continuity. But no matter how hard we worked, the experience still falls short of what we really wanted to offer. And honestly, a lot of it came down to the limitations of the models themselves. The tech just wasn’t there yet. Then everything started to change with the release of GPT-3 by @OpenAI. Our dev team, in true hacker spirit, jumped in to see how this new LLM could help bring our vision to life. It was like a lightbulb went off. That was when @LucyOSAI was born—our first real breakthrough, and with it came a huge surge in user engagement. It was a moment of validation, the kind that makes you realize you’re not just dreaming, but actually creating something that matters. Around the same time, another product came into the spotlight: AutoGPT. It was from the same era as Lucy, and it felt like a perfect match. An open-source AI agent that, when given a goal in natural language, could break it down into smaller tasks and autonomously use the internet and other tools to achieve its objective. At that point, most teams were still deeply focused on LLMs, and the concept of AI agents was still pretty new and untested.
