As a researcher I feel I did too little too late with regard to liquid staking. This is an opportunity to not repeat the mistake with restaking. 7) Competing restaking platforms provide healthy diversity and I will gladly share insights and bounce ideas with competitors like Karak and Symbiotic. 8) Some people may ask if EigenLayer is trying to systematically "bribe" or "corrupt" the EF. Nowadays the EF is a large organisation with 300+ people. To my knowledge 3 EFers have a formal relationship with EigenLayer entities: one as an early EigenLabs investor, and two as recent EigenFoundation advisors. EFers are some of the highest integrity people I know and I don't see the 1% of EFers formally involved with EigenLayer compromising their morals. 9) Having interacted a bunch with Sreeram I believe he is in our space for all the goods reasons. He has a razor sharp mind and a genuine desire to build something meaningful—what he calls the "Open Verifiable Digital Commons". Sreeram's outstanding character was key to accepting the advisorship. 10) I want to highlight that I'm advising in an individual capacity. This is more than just a legal detail: I live my work life first and foremost as an Ethereum researcher, not as an EF researcher. I try to stay a free and independent thinker and serve the interests of Ethereum even if it sometimes means breaking the mould of expectations that comes with being an EF researcher. 11) I do acknowledge that accepting the EigenFoundation advisorship inevitably comes with downside risk beyond my personal reputation. But having these 3 selves as a naming convention is really useful. Need to get into dopamine self? Play agressive hip-hop + drink caffeine. Need to get into serotonin self? Play deep house + breathe deeply. Need to get into cortisol self? Don't sleep and refresh email. 8. Resting smile face - A large % of happiness is moving from resting serious face to resting smiling face... Because this idea is so simple, it's neglected. Try it. 9. Love bombs - If you have an awesome interaction with a service worker, drop them a tip that makes you feel a bit uncomfortable. When you zoom out 5 years later, it's one of the highest ROI memory dividends in your mental checking account. 10. Bragging Razor - If someone brags about their success or happiness, assume it’s half what they claim If someone downplays their success or happiness, assume it’s double what they claim 11. The Instagram Sausage Factory - When you see a photo of an influencer looking attractive on Instagram -- assume there are 99 worse variations of that photo you haven't seen. They just picked the best one. Zoom out and see how the sausage is made. 12. Hidden metrics vs Visible metrics - Money is a visible metric. Clear score and multi-player going up and down. Time with family or peace of mind is a hidden metric. It's easy to spend so much time optimising for visible metrics... Because they are visible. The hidden metrics only become visible when it's too late... They hit 0. Someone dies or lose your sanity. 13. Only the irrational behaviour survives - If you study the biographies of the greats or attend the funerals of people you care about — the normal rational behavior is never mentioned. It’s filled with stories that make the individual unique. It’s all the times they broke out of the median distribution of human behavior. If you want to create behavioral assets that tell stories for you in the future, you have to pay the price of appearing weird in the present moment. Your personal brand is defined by your weirdness, eccentricities, and irrational behavior. 3am. Mega post. Gotta be honest. World and financial markets are in an extremely weird spot right now. Taking your eye off the ball even for a second can wreck you here. Keep your mind beyond clean. Keep your vigilance on a full court press. Try incredibly cringey boyscout hard at what your doing. Be the over enthusiastic student. MASTER your trade. Be the best and hardest working at it you know. Keep a clear mind so you can take well thought out big risks. Live WELL infinitely below your means so you can take those risk without fear. Destroy your ego so that your decisions that could lead to huge gain are never influenced by unreasonable insecurity or fear of being vulnerable. There's no clear answer on what will happen, but being sharp as a razor, extremely skilled and having a financial lifestyle that keeps stress to zero WITH ability to take risks IS your absolute 1000% best bet. I strongly feel there's gonna be a handful of moments (good and bad) where you will blink n the lines of finance & money completely change. We will see the biggest wealth making chances ever WITH some of the most brutal wealth destruction ever. Its nigh impossible to call which buckets will be the winners and losers right now. It sounds so incredibly self help guru lame, but being the absolute best version of you with as MUCH focus as possible is your absolute best bet. A period of slowness here could cause lapses in judgment that leave you sidelined to huge opportunities or completely over exposed to a brutal right hook. Stay boyscout try hard serious. I feel the next few years will be historic.

The national parties are always going to suck. It’s just how the game is set up, and that’s a good thing. There is no way for both of them to have a platform that everyone agrees with because they are fighting for control. All the issues that they are fighting over are the ones that split the electorate. So the result in a healthy competitive democracy is always a razor thin split between left and right parties and 50% are gonna be unhappy no matter who wins. But, not all is lost. They can still govern if the people who end up elected have their head on straight. Primaries, down ballot elections, state elections, all these things matter more than you think. Good governance is going to come from an accumulation of small victories.

The most hilarious part about this Timecoin nonsense is that there is an actual altcoin (possibly the first real altcoin) called Timekoin, that was launched by knightmb (who, most famously, was quite high up on the Bitcoin richlist in the early 2010s having held 371 000 BTC). It's always been a bit of a weird project, written in PHP with mysql as its datastore for the chain.Here's the thing...it was worked on and discussed on Bitcointalk at length in 2010 when Satoshi was still around (https://t.co/hDg3Dwdqlq). The creator of Timekoin (knightmb) interacted with Satoshi a bunch on the forum (https://t.co/l4Vt8REUO8 for eg.) - and Satoshi even had multiple private conversations with knightmb on Bitcointalk (see: https://t.co/B5Sy6dQIgU where knightmb makes it clear that he did not buy the notion that Craig Wright is Satoshi in 2015 already).Now let's be logical: if Satoshi *had* previously called Bitcoin "Timecoin", and had shown a BUNCH of people the Timecoin whitepaper etc., then surely he would have said something to knightmb? Maybe not publicly, but surely in private he would have suggested that he use a different name so as not to cause confusion. NEW: The Texas Military Department confirms the TX National Guard has seized control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass (city property where mass illegal crossings are), and is restricting Border Patrol from accessing the area, saying the Feds “perpetuate illegal crossings”. This is the area where Border Patrol has been cutting TX razor wire. Razor wire and fences are now deployed to block the area off from the public and federal government. Attached video is from our crew on the ground this morning as they began blocking it off. You can expect DOJ to sue Texas over this. Texas Military Department statement: “The Texas National Guard has maintained a presence with security points and temporary barrier in Shelby Park since 2021.
