We’re now in the Modular Era. ​ It’s hard for a single blockchain to do it all at scale. ​ So, one solution is Modularity. This divides blockchain functionality into independent layers - execution, settlement, consensus, and data availability. ​ While this has helped scale blockchains, there's a trade off: too many chains has led to Modular Fragmentation. ​ • Liquidity’s spread thin across too many blockchains. ​ • Everything’s become too complex for the average user. The average user doesn’t want to deal with multiple wallets, switching networks, and running out of Gas. ​ • And developers have to limit themselves to choosing to work with a single chain or tech stack when developing their dApp. ​ There’s no shared system for everyone to coordinate capital flows and settlement among chains. ​ And at the core of all of this is a single problem: everyone is playing an isolated, PVP game to manage their liquidity across chains. ​ There's a solution on the way. ​ @EverclearOrg (formerly known as Connext) is looking to solve this through Chain Abstraction and the Clearing Layer. Let's take a look at how they'll power the Chain Abstraction Stack. ​ THE NEED FOR CHAIN ABSTRACTION ​ Last year, @EverclearOrg introduced the Chain Abstraction vision using intents. Users shouldn’t care about what chain they’re on or the underlying tech. ​ Think about Uber. ​ You want to go from Point A to Point B. Uber finds a driver, and you pay a fee. What happens behind the scenes is complex, but is pretty much invisible. ​ The average user doesn't want to deal with bridging, paying gas, switching chains, and other headaches. ​ So intents let the users shift cross chain complexities over to solvers: 3rd party service providers who do it for a fee. ​ There’s a growing ecosystem of products and protocols building to achieve Chain Abstraction using intents. ​ However, this only happens for a small number of chains using a small number of highly specialized, well-capitalized solvers. ​ Because solvers front users capital on the destination chain but are repaid on the origin chain, solvers face a number of challenges: ​ • Path Dependency: Solvers may be repaid tokens they don’t want on chains they don’t want to hold liquidity on. This leads solvers to solve only a small percentage of intents. The result is poor capital utilization and further liquidity fragmentation. ​ • Rebalancing Requirements: Solvers front capital on the destination chain but are repaid on the origin chain, necessitating frequent and costly rebalancing. ​ • Rebalancing often happens through bridges, market makers, or CEXs, but these sources are also bottle-necked on pricing and support for every ecosystem (see earlier problem section). ​ • Centralization: Top solvers hold large balances on each chain to net off transactions and drive down rebalancing costs, making them more profitable than smaller solvers. This incentivizes widespread centralization of solving. ​ For Chain Abstraction to work, solvers need to work with every chain, every asset, and every application. ​ When you zoom out and look at the global flow of funds between blockchains, you find that over 80% of it can be netted. ​ This means we are sending 5x-10x more volume through bridges and CEXs than we need to. ​ INTRODUCING THE CLEARING LAYER ​ Everclear propose a novel primitive to take advantage of this insight: Clearing Layers. ​ Clearing Layer: A decentralized network that coordinates global netting and settlement of capital flows between chains. ​ Through netting and integrating into the best settlement mechanism for any given asset or ecosystem. ​ Clearing Layers cut the costs and complexity of rebalancing for solvers, market makers, and CEXs by up to 10x. ​ The Clearing Layer is the foundation of the Chain Abstraction stack, powering seamless liquidity for intent protocols, solvers, chains, and applications. ​ Everclear is the first Clearing Layer. Everclear coordinates the global settlement of liquidity between chains, solving fragmentation for modular blockchains. How? ​ • Netting: Everclear lets market participants net off their flows between chains, reducing costs and complexity by up to 10x. • Programmable Settlement: Everclear supports programmable settlement, allowing anyone to build connections to and coordinate between messaging protocols, canonical bridges, CEXs, and any other mechanism used to deliver funds to users. ​ • Permissionless Liquidity and Chain Expansion: Everclear powers permissionless liquidity for new chains, acting as a foundation for any intent based bridge and chain abstracted app to build on. ​ USE CASES ​ #1. Intent-based Bridges, DEXs, and solver networks ​ Examples: Across, Debridge, Router, UniswapX, CowSwap, 1inch, Enso, Khalani, Valantis ​ Before: Every protocol builds their own mechanism for settling across chains. Solvers have isolated liquidity and need to manage all of the complexity of rebalancing. Adding new chains is dependent on solver support & liquidity. ​ After: Shared liquidity among all solvers, massively cutting costs and removing need to rebalance. ​ Adding new chains becomes 10x easier for solvers. ​ #2. Token Issuers ​ Examples: Renzo, Maker, Lido, Circle, Tether, Frax ​ Before: Token issuers either use canonical bridges (harder to get fast/cheap bridging), a single 3rd party bridge (bottlenecked by security and chain support of bridge), or multiple 3rd party bridges (liquidity is fragmented as bridges can’t communicate with each other). E.g. Frax uses Ferry for some ecosystems, Axelar for others. ​ USDC: CCTP supported on some chains but not all. In these cases, solvers and market makers need to jump through several steps to manage liquidity which is expensive and inefficient. ​ After: Unified liquidity everwhere, regardless of supported bridges. ​ USDC can be transferred from Arbitrum → Gnosis using CCTP on Arbitrum, but available liquidity on Gnosis. ​ Token issuers can expand to new ecosystems much more quickly. ​ #3. Chains & AppChains: ​ Examples: Blast, Degenchain, Fraxtal, Lyra ​ Before: Lots of work and capital required to bring liquidity and bridges to ecosystem. Only a small subset of chains can work with top bridges. ​ After: Permissionless connection to the interchain ecosystem, access to liquidity, and simplified onboarding. ​ Everclear provides foundation for any other bridges and applications to add support for a new chain. ​ OTHER DETAILS ​ • The project is backed by @polychain, @panteracapital, @1kxnetwork, @consensys, @hashed_official, @okx_ventures, @polygonventures, @cbventures, @fenbushi, @ngc_ventures, and many more. ​ • The $NEXT token will be the native token of Everclear. ​ • Testnet is live today. Imagine computing happening simultaneously in parallel while retaining decentralization - this is the essence of AO. To understand the revolutionary nature of this concept, we first need to understand concepts such as parallelization and computation. What is parallelization? In computer systems today, making things faster and more efficient often means completing tasks in parallel, not sequentially. This phenomenon, fittingly known as parallelization, was catalyzed by the advent of modern computer’s multi-core processor architecture. Tasks that were traditionally executed in a step-by-step manner are now approached through the lens of simultaneity, maximizing the processors’ capabilities. Similarly, in blockchain networks, this principle of executing multiple operations at once is applied at the transaction level, although instead of leveraging multiple processors, it’s utilizing the collective verification power of numerous validators across the network. What is computation? Computation in the context of AI and blockchain can be likened to the engine of a car—powering the necessary processes to reach a destination. In AI, computation involves processing large datasets, training models on these datasets to learn patterns, and then using these models to make predictions or decisions. This requires intense computational resources, often managed by advanced processors like GPUs. GPU is new money in today's world 💸 This enhanced scalability makes it possible for AO to handle large datasets and carry out intensive computation, typically required in AI applications. By building on Arweave, and having access to permanent storage, AO can offer trustless computation verification. Before looking at AO in more detail, it is important to understand what Arweave is, which plays a key role in the architecture of AO. What is Arweave? Permanent Data Storage: Arweave offers the ability to store any type of file permanently (documents, mp3s, pdfs, movies, digital art, etc.). With a one-time payment, data can be stored for at least 200 years, and most likely much longer. Arweave is a Layer 1 and modular blockchain, serving as a foundational layer upon which other technologies can be built. The execution is not part of the base layer, allowing for scalable, efficient, and decentralized applications. How AO Utilizes Arweave for Scalable and Efficient Computing AO leverages Arweave as its decentralized storage backbone, ensuring all data and messages are stored permanently on Arweave. The overall design allows AO's processes to operate without shared memory. Key Points: - Message Log Storage: In AO, processes (smart contracts) are not recorded as hashes like in other blockchains, but as a message log stored on Arweave. While this log is kept on Arweave, the actual execution does not occur there. - State Management: Arweave stores the initial state of a process along with all subsequent messages or updates. Each record of state, including the initial state and each update, is stored permanently. - Decentralized Computation: Computation is handled by AO nodes, inspired by Arweave's initial SmartWeave contracts. When users interact with processes, AO nodes pull evaluate the log of state messages stored on Arweave. The architecture of the AO computer consists of five key components that work together to enable efficient, scalable, and permanent data processing: 1. Processes: Each process in AO represents a set of instructions stored on Arweave. These processes can be seen as smart contracts or applications that can customize specific computing environments. Processes communicate by sending messages to each other, which are permanently stored on Arweave. 2.Messages: Messages are interactions between processes and can originate from users or other processes. These messages are crucial for enabling interoperability within the AO network. All messages are written to Arweave’s decentralized data layer. 3. Scheduler Units (SUs): Scheduler Units are responsible for sorting and sche****ng messages for execution. They assign sequence numbers to messages and upload the contents to Arweave. SUs ensure that message execution is globally ordered, preventing dependency issues and maintaining a smooth flow of operations. 4. Compute Units (CUs): Compute Units are nodes that execute messages and determine the state of processes. They operate in a P2P market, competing based on criteria like speed and cost. After execution, CUs return logs, outboxes, and requests to start other processes, with all output data being uploaded to Arweave. 5. Messenger Units (MUs): Messenger Units relay messages within the AO network. They coordinate message transfers to the appropriate Scheduler Units and then to the Compute Units. MUs can support cron messages, which are automatically executed at specified intervals, enabling autonomous operations and advanced functionalities like AI agents. AO Computation Flow 1. A process sends a message, which first goes to the Messenger Unit. 2. The user pays the MU in tokens or other assets to find the appropriate Scheduler Unit in the distributed network. 3. To understand the revolutionary nature of this concept, we first need to understand concepts such as parallelization and computation. What is parallelization? In computer systems today, making things faster and more efficient often means completing tasks in parallel, not sequentially. This phenomenon, fittingly known as parallelization, was catalyzed by the advent of modern computer’s multi-core processor architecture. Tasks that were traditionally executed in a step-by-step manner are now approached through the lens of simultaneity, maximizing the processors’ capabilities. Similarly, in blockchain networks, this principle of executing multiple operations at once is applied at the transaction level, although instead of leveraging multiple processors, it’s utilizing the collective verification power of numerous validators across the network. What is computation? Computation in the context of AI and blockchain can be likened to the engine of a car—powering the necessary processes to reach a destination. How AO Utilizes Arweave for Scalable and Efficient Computing AO leverages Arweave as its decentralized storage backbone, ensuring all data and messages are stored permanently on Arweave. Key Points: - Message Log Storage: In AO, processes (smart contracts) are not recorded as hashes like in other blockchains, but as a message log stored on Arweave. Each record of state, including the initial state and each update, is stored permanently. - Decentralized Computation: Computation is handled by AO nodes, inspired by Arweave's initial SmartWeave contracts. 聊聊对山寨的交易认知 MEME系和VC系的相互诟病，引发探寻真正财富密码。为什么要引用这篇文章，这是财富密码的底层驱使逻辑。倪大讲了三个阶段。其中二 、三阶段。 先给大家分享几个数据： 去年3月至今一共上线币安有47个项目，包括基础架构、#L1、#L2、#Gamefi、#DEFI、#nft、#meme、#ai 等赛道。在二、三阶段，也就是去年10月中旬到今年3月最多到4月。在26,000到73,000的趋势里（涨幅：是根据开盘后K线走势低点到高点来计算的）。 其中涨幅5倍以上的项目有16个，占比34%。其中 #L1 和 #meme 的最多。基础架构：#id #arkm； DEFI：#pendle；MEME：#pepe #floki #ordi #wif； 公链：#sei #tia #metis #ntrn #tao #axl #sui； AI ：#wld；BRC20：#ordi；10倍以上的 12个，占比25.5%。（其中metis、axl、tao是在其他cex上涨的，然后登陆币安）。 抛开meme板块不谈，最多的高回报价值山寨赛道就是L1了。这些正好是去年开盘币安时，大家骂得，比如sei、tia、sui等等。 看到这里想必大家知道我为什么要引用倪大文章的本质了吧，也能联想到，后面要到来的第四阶段，美国大选前后。可能会涨的,是不是现在大家骂的呢。 山寨都说炒新不炒旧。那第四阶段的财富密码，是不是就是今年1月截止到第四阶段 #btc 主升浪前上线币安的项目呢？是吗？当然，我并没有说之前的（比如去年上线的，还有2022年的）不是财富密码,不会再大涨，只不过今年的更新一些，具体就是怎么择标的呢。 山寨的普涨有否？我可以肯定回答，有。但 是有但是的。前面只说了5倍以上涨幅占34%，那剩下的还有66%呢。这66%，也有涨，只不过涨幅不大。50个点、一两倍，都有。肯定很多人说那这次是btc新高（73,700）不高，溢出的钱不多。ok，那回到21年。我还真统计了，20年所有开盘币安的项目有90个左右。在21年，这90个里涨幅100倍以上占比10%，30-100倍（包括100倍）占比22%，10倍的项目占比超过50%。巧的是这两次数据统计倍数高占比多的有深度重合的赛道是什么？猜得到吗？对，公链 L1。 山寨市值的估算。作为一个资深的美股交易员，要学会根据已流通筹码，未来解锁筹码，赛道天花板等对项目进行流通市值估算的。市值出来了，预计价格自然也出来了。你要走的点位也就出来了。不要动不动就无脑喊一句：#pepe 0.01u见。咋地，你想娶迪丽热巴想疯了嗦！ 山寨的巨坑。这个其实发生在牛市趋势里的。知道你为什么在牛市还亏钱了吗？因为你买了高mc估值高fdv的开盘项目。比如21年你买了icp，冲了chai、bzz矿机。疯狂牛市满大街都是高估值的项目，别特么无脑冲，能让你牛市的收益保值增值的记住，只有 #btc and u。 知道你为什么疯狂牛市赚不到钱吗？准确的说是赚到又亏了。为什么会这样呢？上面列举的数据不管是21年的还是23-24年二三阶段的，占比最多是5-10倍项目。能涨到几十倍甚至百倍是很少的。 而且10倍还是k线走势相对低点到高点才有10倍，极少数人需要高认知、牛逼交易操作才能吃到，大多数人吃不到。比如一个项目会从1拉到10。你是3或者4进场的，随着放量上涨、情绪利好，流动性进入，你吃到了，这个时候，情绪被fomo。btc也大涨。你选择追涨。直到接近10。你心里想着，特么肯定还能再来几倍。结果随着震荡，做市商继续拉不动 在出货，人声鼎沸，币价回落，而你自己各种找信仰，甚至还补仓。结果就是破你的均价。及时止损或蹭早出了还好，一直拿着。迎接的是一直阴跌。磨人心情。 山寨买入的择时。没有人能买在插针的最低点，当然可以相对低点。其实这又回到为什么要引用倪大的文章了。底层逻辑就是对于 #btc 的认知，#btc 的低点就是山寨的低点。如果做不到那么精细。按份额定投也是不错的。但要记得，控制好成本，别被fomo。 以上皆是个人想法，能想到的目前就这么多。 项目方开盘cex，本质是要出货赚钱的。我们需要从中去寻找赚钱 吃肉的机会。吃了就走，交易，要做渣性。 非投资建议，以上提到的每一个字不接受**。投资需谨慎，DYOR，谢谢。
