I was in Iran in 2009 and loved the people I met. Smart, educated, and sick of the mullahs. Praying they get some freedom.
@novogratz· about 2 months agoThinking about how this plays out: I don’t see Iran as having a strong counter punch. Without air defense you are really vulnerable. They will have to saber rattle and make a few symbolic moves but I don’t think they want the wrath of another attack from above. If it plays out love this it will be very bullish for Trump and risk assets. The risk is that there is nothing more dangerous than a humiliated man. And the ayatollah and his regime has been shown to be feeble. The next 72 hrs are really important but if there is no real counterpunch markets will be much higher by the end of the week.

Countries with tech which includes USA and China have a tool kit that makes me think the whole world needs a peace pill! From a market’s perspective there is a decent chance that markets look through the next few days and realize Iran has been decapitated and can’t compete in a fight. That would be bullish. Still have to worry about them unleashing terror attacks. Humiliation is a horrible thing and brings out the worst in people. Never a dull moment

I've said it before and I'll say it again: we are just getting started. While our long-awaited Nasdaq listing marked the end of a chapter, it more significantly marked the beginning of a new one. We’re going after both. Our crypto business was built for this moment. After years of saying the herd was coming, the herd is finally here. @novogratz· 2 months agoThis poll is fascinating. Shows how divided the US is. I bet if it was done by college grads vs non college grads the results would differ. Having just attended a graduation at one of the “elite” universities I was reminded of what amazing kids this country and the world produces. You can’t be bearish the world after spending a weekend with its future. I was also reminded what a treasure and a privilege the 50k kids a year who graduate from the 25 most elite universities have. They are roughly 1 percent of their age cohort. We need to somehow expand the reach to at least 5 percent. We don’t need more colleges (we have over 4000) we need better ones where kids get a chance to grow. Where they learn to think, to read, to write, to test themselves, stretch their imaginations, push their boundaries. Where they start to sort out who they want to be. I do think most universities over invested in bureaucracy and should redirect some of that towards expanding their reach. I also think govt should stay out of their business. Forcing leftists ideals or a right wing agenda is destructive. Our elite places of learning have been foundational to this country. I think it is very dangerous to start undermining them. They will self correct like they have for the past 300 years. And yes, you don’t need them to succeed in life. That said, I can’t think of a way four years of learning and learning to socialize wouldn’t help anyone. Life is long. No reason to miss this chapter.

It marked a pivotal moment for Galaxy—our debut as a public company in the United States. But for me, it was more than just a corporate milestone. It was the fulfillment of a deeply personal bet I made over a decade ago that the financial system was overdue for transformation. After more than three decades on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs and Fortress Investment Group, I had seen firsthand the highs and lows, the booms and busts of the '80s and '90s, all punctuated by the seismic shock of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. I knew our financial system needed to change. I just didn’t know how, until a close friend called in 2013 and said, “You need to read the bitcoin whitepaper.” Bitcoin wasn’t just a new asset. It was an invitation to rethink how trust is built, how value moves, and how ownership is defined. It reminded me why I fell in love with markets in the first place. And it forced me to ask the question that changed everything: Did I just want to invest in this technology, or did I want to help shape what comes next? In 2018, I chose to build. That’s how Galaxy was born. We started small. Just a few individuals, united by the mission to bridge the institutional rigor of traditional finance with the energy and potential of digital assets. We weren’t here to ride the hype or chase the headlines. We were here to build the rails. Since then, we’ve built a fully integrated digital assets platform that spans trading, investment banking, asset management, staking, tokenization, and custodial technology. @novogratz· 3 months agoThe story that America is getting “ripped off” or taken advantage of just does t ring true to me. We are the richest country on earth. Our per capita income of roughly 60k makes our average worker a 1 percent income earner for the rest of the world. We are 4.2% of the world’s population yet are 26% of global gdp. What am I missing? Team USA has the most innovative private sector, deepest capital markets, best universities and a work ethic. We have been winning since way before I was born in 1964.
