New tech is only half the job – rewriting risk, legal and cloud playbooks is the other half. That was the headline message from Marianne Webber (@StanChart ), Sandip Wadje (@BNPParibas ) and Fernando Luis Vázquez Cao vas (@chainlink ) at Crypto Finance Forum London. From the “most expensive transaction ever” to surprise multi‑cloud risk, the panel showed how crypto pushes banks into uncharted control territory: -$ Millions for one trade: @SBI_DAH & @jpmorgan spent eye‑watering amounts to build a one‑off risk framework – because no standards existed. -Even a gas fee can trigger export‑control checks: BNP Paribas’s Sandip was asked to prove no nation-state actor could touch the ETH his team used to pay for it. -90/10 new vs old: Standard Chartered re‑uses ~90 % of its TradFi controls; the last 10 % is crypto‑specific uplift (but this last mile can be immensely challenging). -Compliance‑as‑code: Chainlink is building a runtime environment that simplifies regulatory complexity – enabling compliant issuance, settlement, and reporting of on-chain assets across borders, programmatically. -Multi‑cloud overnight: tokenization pilots on AWS, GCP & Azure means banks have rapidly become multi‑cloud – now their resilience playbooks need a rewrite. As Fernando put it: “I’m super excited about the non‑sexy, boring stuff – risk frameworks and audit requirements. Itau BBA, the investment bank of the largest banking corporation in the region, is advising the launch of Oranje, a company focused on accumulating Bitcoin as part of its treasury strategy. 🇧🇷 Oranje is set to be the first of its kind in Latam, led by industry veterans including Guilherme Gomes (former Swan Bitcoin) as CEO and Guilherme Ferreira (president of Bahema) as CFO, along with Bitcoin pioneer Fernando Ulrich and Josh Levine from Bridgewater. With only 3% institutional adoption of Bitcoin in the market, Oranje aims to capitalize on this early stage, especially as regulatory landscapes evolve. We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Dodgers great Fernando Valenzuela. “Fernandomania” swept through baseball in 1981 when the 20-year old rookie sensation began the season 8-0 with a 0.50 ERA. The lefthander capped off his incredible year by winning both the NL Rookie of the Year and Cy Young Awards while helping lead Los Angeles to a World Series title. Valenzuela pitched 17 Major League seasons, was a 6-time All-Star, and has the most wins (173) and strikeouts (2,074) of any Mexican-born pitcher. He spent the last 22 years as a Spanish language broadcaster for the Dodgers, who retired his No. 34 in 2023. He was 63.

Pero las imágenes que vimos ayer por la noche transmitidas por los medios de comunicación en virtual cadena nacional, en lo que constituye una verdadera revictimización de la denunciante, SON OTRA COSA. Las fotos de la Sra. Fabiola Yañez con hematomas en su cuerpo y rostro junto a los chats publicados que revelan el diálogo entre ella y el ex Presidente, no sólo muestr***** golpiza recibida, sino que delatan los aspectos más sórdidos y oscuros de la condición humana. Permiten comprobar, una vez más y dramáticamente, la situación de la mujer en cualquier relación, se desarrolle ésta en un palacio o en una choza. La misoginia, el machismo y la hipocresía, pilares en los que se asienta la violencia verbal o física contra la mujer, no tienen bandera partidaria y atraviesan a la sociedad en todos sus estamentos. En lo personal y como mujer que ha sido objeto (y lo sigue siendo) de las peores violencias verbales y políticas, hasta la máxima experiencia de violencia física, como fue el intento de asesinato del 1 de septiembre del 2022, expreso mi solidaridad con todas las mujeres víctimas de cualquier tipo de violencia, sin olvidar las palabras que Francisco me dijo al día siguiente de aquel hecho: “toda violencia física siempre es precedida de violencia verbal”.
