Today we remember Alice, Bebe and Elsie, and are thinking of their families, their loved ones and all those whose lives were changed forever a year ago. The strength of everyone in Southport has been beyond words – we stand with the community in remembrance today.

We're entering an age of abundance where the critical question isn't whether there will be enough value created, but whether individuals can achieve their fair share of that value. The shift from machines replacing physical labor to cognitive labor marks a fundamental economic transformation. 🧠 The Fair Exchange Problem The core challenge in digital commerce is the fair exchange problem: 🔄 If Alice sends payment first, she can't trust Bob will deliver. If Bob ships first, he can't trust Alice will pay. This creates an economic deadlock that prevents transactions. Physical commerce allowed simultaneous exchange, money and goods changed hands at the same moment. But digital commerce is inherently asynchronous, requiring one party to act first and trust the other to follow through. Traditional Solutions & Their Failures Traditional solutions use trusted intermediaries: 🏦 Financial (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal) 🛒 Market (Amazon, eBay, Alibaba) Both suffer from the extraction imperative, centralized entities must maximize shareholder value, not user value. The pattern is always the same: - Amazon uses marketplace data to compete against its own sellers - Platform fees increase once market dominance is established - Terms evolve to favor platform interests over user interests The promise of "Don't be evil" inevitably gives way to extraction. The Market Opportunity 📈 The agentic commerce market is projected to reach $1.7 trillion by 2030 (67% CAGR). While competitors like Visa, Mastercard, and Coinbase are building solutions, they remain fundamentally centralized entities with the same extraction patterns. The Boson dACP Solution Boson dACP (Decentralized Agentic Commerce Protocol) represents a fundamentally different approach as the decentralized commerce layer of the agent stack, embodying true decentralized commerce: ✅ Trust-minimized: Logic enforced in code, not by intermediaries ✅ Immutably open: Public infrastructure without permission ✅ Verifiably fair exchange: Strong commitments that assets or compensation will be delivered ✅ Minimally extractive: Only necessary fees, no platform rents ✅ Credibly neutral: Equal rules for all, verifiable on-chain Unlike centralized competitors who will inevitably extract maximum value from users, Boson dACP is architected to remain a public good, infrastructure that "can't be evil." 🌐 The Web3 thesis: protocols can outcompete platforms without market failures. The Vision Boson dACP aims to become the TCP/IP for commerce, foundational infrastructure that every commercial transaction flows through, enabling verifiably fair commercial exchange of any asset between any agent, human or AI. This is the infrastructure for the agentic economy. 📖 Full details in the blog post linked in the comments! 🤝 Join our community for the latest updates.

I’m excited to announce that I have started Trends @trendsdotfun, a value-anchored social protocol that pushes the frontier of information finance. It’s also a bittersweet farewell moment: my full-time gig with @fslweb3 has come to an end, but I will continue to support the company as an advisor. I will have a separate post to reflect on this extremely meaningful journey. Trends already has the early backing of an incredible group of founders and angels whose belief in the vision gives us both support and accountability: @aeyakovenko @calilyliu @ @SolanaFndn @weremeow & @sssionggg @ @JupiterExchange @Punk9277 @ @KaitoAI @PrimordialAA @ @LayerZero_Core @tn_pendle @ @pendle_fi @cindyleowtt & @davijlu @ @DriftProtocol Alice & James Zhang @ @JamboTechnology @ZhuoxunYin & @bytheophana @ @MagicEden @TusharJain_ @ @multicoincap @Jerry10240 & @yawn_rong & @shitirastogi @ @fslweb3 @zhusu @dapanji_eth @ @bonk_fun @0xsudogm @ @dragonfly_xyz @MapleLeafCap @ @FoliusVentures After several years pursuing broader consumer adoption in crypto, I’ve distilled three first-principle convictions: 1️⃣ Every true Web3 breakthrough happens where value can flow with radically less friction - think 2017 ICOs and 2020 DeFi Summer (and even 2023 Pumpfun). The next innovation leap, as a result, will also emerge with another 100× improvement in value-flow efficiency. 2️⃣ Tokens are information containers, and social media is already the busiest information market; if every post became a token, information flow and value flow could finally merge. 3️⃣On-chain issuance and value transfer costs will keep falling, so social is now perfectly positioned for that merger in point 2. With these beliefs in mind, we started Trends. It begins as an on-chain curation layer for X (and soon for any open content such as TikTok) and will grow into a social protocol coordinated by internet capital. Each piece of content forms its own curve, volatility and spike; accounts that consistently create / surface high-consensus posts accumulate a reputation that can’t be faked. AI is pushing the cost of content production toward zero. When views, likes and even entire posts can be botted for pennies, on-chain capital becomes the one scarce, transparent signal of real consensus. Trends provide a direct pipeline from belief to PnL. Wash-trading has its corresponding costs, and an open protocol gives everyone the same chance to participate. That, to me, is what mass adoption looks like: your everyday actions carry on-chain financial weight. Imagine one like equals one dollar - each click automatically buys from the curve, and your automatic exit target can be preset. Opinion expressed, position taken, no extra steps. We’re at the dawn of this new era. Trends is defining a new asset class. Forging new behaviors is never easy, but trend is good.

Anoma is the Intent-Centric Blockchain Protocol for Private, Composable Coordination。

The Project : Wander Inspiration 🎙️ Hello, hello - It’s Dino back in your area! It’s Wednesday, which means we’re diving once again into the world of Project: Wander. Today, I’m joined by someone who’s been quietly shaping the very soul of the game - RJ, our Lead Game Designer. He’s the one steering the vision behind the systems, the stories, and the strange little moments that make Wander feel… well, like Wandering. From the cozy corners of the imagination to the ever-shifting dreamscapes, RJ and our team are the architects of how you’ll explore, express, and leave your mark. So let’s get into it, and peel back the curtain on the player experience, the archetypes, and the worldbuilding magic at the heart of Project: Wander. Hello RJ, I saw the teaser image already. The world seems so inviting. Can you show us how things work around in Project: Wander? RJ: Great question, Dino. At its core, Project: Wander is designed to feel comfortable with the ambient - something that fits into your day-to-day fun naturally - without demanding your constant attention. The main loop is pretty simple: you hang out, go on little trips, chat with others, and over time, you start receiving items. These might be cosmetic, collectible, or tied to special events. Then you use those items to customize your space, your identity, or even parts of the world itself. It’s not about grinding or chasing levels. It’s more like tending a garden, or, you can imagine it like a miniature world, a terrarium-version of Tatsugotchi. You come back, check in, do a little something, and over time you build up a sense of progress and connection. Some of these interactions are sparked by bots running in Discord, which might trigger a surprise event or invite you into a mini-activity with others. That’s where socialization really kicks in, since the game ultimately thrives on community-driven play. We want to embrace these four elements for every player: discovery, collection, creativity, and curiosity. Whether you’re poking around to see what changed overnight, customizing your corner of the world, or just following a strange thread someone left behind, the goal is to make every interaction feel a little bit personal, and a little bit magical. That’s intriguing. But.. who exactly will we be in Project: Wander? RJ: Well, in the world of Project: Wander, you might begin as an artisan exploring a relaxing, magical world, but that role is just one of many you can slip into. The world isn’t built to confine you to a single path. Whether you show up to collect, express your creativity, or help shape the world around you, the experience adapts with you. It’s less about fixed roles, and more about living, feeling archetypes that grow alongside the world you’re part of. Whether you're driven by discovery, collection, creativity, or curiosity, there’s a path shaped just for you. Our aim for Project: Wander is creating a cozy, fantasy life sim, where players can connect, be creative among like-minded people. In the early days, we pulled inspiration from the kinds of worlds we grew up escaping into places like Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and even Infinity Nikki. We wanted something that felt magical, but still rooted in the everyday, a world where real emotions and elements could exist inside dreamlike, curious spaces. Project: Wander is going to be released as a Discord activity, playing directly on Discord. It’s going to be an imaginary adventure for you and your friends, right at the place where you hang out. Wow… that is a big big world to discover. There’s something about the visual that really catches my eye, but I can’t quite explain it… RJ: I know! It is something both familiar and fantastical from my point of view. Travel in Project: Wander isn’t just a way to get from point A to B, it’s meant to feel like a dreamy little road trip. You set off, maybe you’re chatting with friends while it happens, and along the way, you stumble into things, like odd places, curious items, and strange moments that stick with you. Visually, we’re leaning into that feeling of flipping through a childhood storybook. It’s not hyper-realistic or overly polished, it’s soft, surreal all over the map. Think watercolor maps with hints of magic, like something pulled from a forgotten dream. That aesthetic isn’t just for show, it shapes how we want players to feel when they move through the world: relaxed, curious, and just a bit enchanted. I can’t wait to start, I’m definitely a wanderer. Is there any fun side story you can spill about the creation of Project: Wander? RJ: Funny enough, the initial concept first popped up while decorating a terrarium during the ideation phase for Project: Wander. And I always love the novelty of placing decorations and plants into a terrarium, and that moment got me thinking: What if you could travel through these miniature worlds and decorate them while interacting with others at the same time? From there, the concept started to evolve. I imagined traveling through said worlds and acquiring furnishings and items that they can interact with and decorate. It was clear that Project: Wander will be something casual and expressive, which is something that lets players go at their own pace, personalize everything, and feel at home in the world. The last ingredient to the creation of Project: Wander is that it needs to be designed in a way that I can open up and interact with this “3rd place”, as and when I want. And that’s it for today’s talk! Do you have any other questions? Drop it in the comments below ☺️ That’s another glimpse into the heart of Project: Wander - a world shaped by memory, creativity, and the quiet magic of doing things together. The aesthetic and world setting are not just backdrops for gameplay, but a place meant to hold space for self-expression, reflection, and connection. Want to help shape what comes next? Come hang out in our Discord and be part of the ride! Until then, please stay curious, stay hydrated, and stay wandering. Sincerely yours, Dino from Tatsu Times

Naruto11.eth@naruto11eth· 3 months ago

past few weeks, I have been reading multiple whitepapers and different ecosystems. I will be writing about all of them in a weekly series. Naruto's goal is to make them easily digestible for you. last week, Sei released their new whitepaper and unveiled Sei Giga. Scaling EVM has multiple bottlenecks such as: - Data Propagation - Execution being part of consensus - Sei Client being slow (real) So they came up with better solution. Enter Autobahn: a new multi-proposer BFT protocol. This is based on a very well written research paper which you can find below. I will try to break down some of the stuff. In a traditional Tendermint, each block is processed sequentially where a single leader proposes a block, then validators download and fully execute the block transactions, and then consensus is reached in multiple rounds before the next block is proposed. This is how we have been doing things and it has worked so far, however everyone recognizes that it’s the bottleneck because every block production results in waiting time. Autobahn decouples these processes. It approaches a multi-proposer lane approach where every node has its own independent lanes of transaction stream, so essentially parallel data proposals. There is also a mechanism of “tip cuts” during parallel block commitment. A “tip cut” is basically an aggregation of each node’s latest proposal from every lane. The biggest difference between Tendermint and Autobahn is the decoupling of Data Availability (DA) from consensus, as I mentioned earlier. Autobahn uses Proof of Availability to certify that a block’s data is accessible without requiring every validator to download it immediately. Because of this decoupling, the ordering of txms is not hindered by the need to fetch a full block during the consensus round, and that is the beauty of it. Another difference is 1.5 round trips for finality in case of Sei Giga whereas Tendermint required 3 full rounds of message exchanges to finalize a block. Imo the biggest unlock for Sei Giga is separating DA from the consensus path along with the improved execution client. All of this enables Sei Giga to reach 200k TPS (as claimed for now) on devnet, which is pretty cool. What happens on Mainnet is a different game, but imo it is achievable. This was about Autobahn consensus, but let’s talk about Sei’s Async Execution as well. In most blockchain and tendermint-based chains, the current flow is something like this: Propose a block -> Reach consensus -> execute -> finalize This means that consensus and execution are tightly coupled and that’s why the chain is slow. In Sei Giga’s case, the model is flipped as it prioritizes decoupling execution from consensus, and it is possible because of the fully deterministic nature. This is how the flow works: 1. Consensus on the ordering of txns (not their results) 2. Execution happens after consensus, asynchronously and parallelly 3. State root from execution is committed in a future block. With the 3rd point, I mean that: after a block (n) is finalized, it executes later and the result of that execution is included in a future block like `n+3` The network processes the block in the background, then locks in the result a few blocks later, which is depended on ⅔ validators to agree if correct. This makes the chain faster because, again, the execution doesn’t slow down consensus. A good analogy for this process might be “a fast food kitchen.” Let’s say you have a fast food kitchen where: 1. Orders (txns) are locked in and queued (consensus). 2. Chefs (execution) cook them after they’re queued, not before 3. Meal delivery (state root) happens after cooking, but orders keep getting accepted meanwhile. This basically implies that the restaurant never slows down, even if more orders keep coming or cooking takes longer. On the execution client side, Sei Giga is using evmone, which is a lightweight, C++ EVM implementation instead of geth. The only work of evmone is “executing txns.” It doesn’t do anything like log searching or tracing. Even something like receipt generation is handled afterwards, which results in the next block’s execution starting immediately. When it comes to pipelining and encoding, all the important stuff like parsing, address recovery, and signature verification take place in parallel which ensures maximum throughput. On the note, important to remember that Sei Giga uses a flat, length-prefixed format for transaction encoding. How is it different from Eth’s RLP? Well in basic terms: - Fields (nonce, gas, signature etc) are written in a fixed, known order. - Variable length fields are preceded by a length byte. - Which ultimately makes decoding: - Fast - Zero-copy - Low overhead So this makes a flat layout and helps decode and process 1000s of txns/sec along with a multi-threded architecture. Let’s shift the gears back to Autobahn consensus. As I mentioned earlier, Autobahn is very different from Tendermint where the DA is separated out from ordering. So the data is shared via independent lanes, then ordering is handled via a separate consensus layer and execution is async and decoupled. What’s interesting is Data Dissemination Layer (Lanes) + PoA. Lanes are independent Data Streams where every node maintains its own lane, just like how Autobahn (the German roads). This personal stream of proposals (L0, L1, L2,...) are linked together like a mini-chain inside each lane. PoA refers to Proof-of-Availability, which is essentially the idea that when a node proposes a batch of txns (a “car” in a lane): 1. Other nodes vote on it if they see it 2. Once the proposer gathers f + 1 votes, it gets a PoA certificate This is essentially a guarantee that “at least one honest replica has this data and can serve it later.” This above figure explains the thought components of Autobahn with Lanes and PoA. Once a global snapshot (or a Cut) is committed and a node doesn’t yet have some proposal data, it can fetch it async, outside the critical path. This allows ordering to proceed even if some nodes are still syncing data. Global Ordering via Tip Cuts is a very cool thing in a multi-proposer model. A Tip Cut is basically a snapshot of everyone’s latest proposal. Each validator (replica) is constantly publishing its own stream of txns (lanes). So now: - Instead of one block proposal from one leader, you now have `n` streams of transaction proposals. - The system periodically collects the latest “tip” (head) from each stream - Those are bundled into a “cut” This is equation: Cut = {ℓ₁[tip], ℓ₂[tip], …, ℓₙ[tip]} This cut becomes the next block containing many mini-proposals from each lane. Autobahn has 2-phase BFT consensus: what I mean is that the network has to agree on it using a 2-step process when the leader has a proposed Cut. 1. Prepare: The leader sends the proposed Cut to all replicas and honest nodes send back “prepare” votes if they approve the proposal If enough votes (2f+1) are received, then we move to next phase 2. Commit: the leader assembles those prepared votes into a CommitQC and the block is finalized. 3. Confirm: if the leader gathers 2f+1 votes, the block is finalized. If the leader gathers only `n-f` votes, it enters a confirm phase and waits for a commit certificate. Above is a great image of how Tip Cut looks like in a lane model. Let’s talk about something very interesting now: Block-STM-Style parallel Execution Block STM style parallel execution is very important as it executes transactions in parallel using Software Transactional Memory (STM). Why do we need it? The core problem in traditional blockchains is Sequential Execution Bottleneck where all txns in a block are executed one after another which limits throughput even on multi-core CPUs. The Solution is Sei Giga’s optimistic concurrency model from Block-STM. The Key idea is that most transactions do not touch the same data, so they can be safely run in parallel and only retry the ones that conflict. To give you guys an analogy: imagine you have to write a shared report for your college assignment and there are 10 sections (txns) to write. In traditional blockchains, everyone would write it one by one. Naruto writes the intro, Alice waits until Naruto finishes writing, and bob waits until Alice is finished and so on. In Sei Giga, everyone starts writing their section at the same time. Everyone writes in their own document/notebook first (kinda a private buffer) and then when everyone finishes, then everything is joined together and the professor (validator) can validate if anyone wrote the same thing or not. If not, then it works, and that’s why it’s faster! You can look at the above figure and analogy to understand more on how parallel txn executions work. The final part in Sei Giga is Storage. This section is also very important since handling 5 gigagas txn throughput is massive and requires a super efficient, high performance storage layer. In traditional blockchains, we use Merkle trees to: - Track state (who owns what) - Allow for cryptographic proofs Which makes merkle trees expensive to update, bad for parallelism and hard on storage under heavy heavy load. Sei Giga has some cool upgrades: 1. Flat key-value pair which eliminates the merkle tree model. a. Every account, storage slot, or a variable == a key b. Each value like balance or contract data == a value This is stored using Log-Structureed merge tree or LSM managed by RocksDB and then highly optimized for write-heavy loads. 2. RAM-first, disk-second approach: this ensures that most frequent reads are done on RAM and written async to the disk. It uses write-ahead log (WAL) to avoid data loss on crash. 3. Tiered Storage System: this ensures that recent & hot data is stored on fas

RT @JaromirTesar: At the Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas, a UPLC-to-RISC-V compiler will be unveiled, enabling Cardano applications to run on BitVMX. BitVMX extends Bitcoin's capabilities by allowing off-chain execution of complex smart contracts, settling them on-chain on Bitcoin. Built on the BitVM concept of disputable computation, BitVMX ensures correctness using Bitcoin Script. By leveraging RISC-V, BitVMX enables multi-party computation and full program execution, with contract logic running off-chain in a virtual machine. The system relies on two roles: • The prover, who claims to have executed the RISC-V contract correctly. •The verifier, who checks that claim. The prover submits a transaction to Bitcoin asserting the outcome of a contract. This includes a cryptographic commitment to the final state of the execution trace. The verifier independently executes the same contract and compares their trace to the prover's claimed result. If the verifier identifies a discrepancy, they can challenge the prover on-chain. The challenge initiates a dispute protocol, where the verifier forces the prover to reveal intermediate execution states (hashed and linked). The parties isolate the specific step where the prover's claim diverges from valid execution. Once found, proof of fraud is submitted using a Bitcoin transaction that enforces penalties or reverses the claim. The system operates on the optimistic assumption that all parties will behave according to the rules. Each step in the protocol is embedded in pre-signed transactions that enforce the flow of the verification game. Script checks the validity of provided hashes, digital signatures, and time constraints. The actual logic and computations remain off-chain, drastically reducing the burden on Bitcoin’s limited block space. Only in the event of a dispute does execution data begin to touch the blockchain. Only a few bytes of data per transaction are needed to carry hash commitments and digital signatures. One of the foundational security mechanisms in BitVMX is the use of a graph of pre-signed transactions. These transactions are prepared and cryptographically signed by all participants, such as two parties engaged in a swap, like Alice and Bob, before the off-chain execution of the smart contract begins. The graph structure encodes every potential state transition or branch in the contract's lifecycle, including successful completions, disputes, and final resolutions. This ensures that all paths—such as valid execution, challenge responses, or timeouts—can be enforced on-chain without needing to trust any one participant. These transactions ensure that any deviation can be detected and proven. Transactions with state hashes are not all stored directly on-chain, but rather are included in the witness data of transactions when needed, such as during a fraud proof. So if Alice and Bob agree and sign the transactions, the execution is done off-chain, and a single cooperative transaction (pre-signed and agreed upon) completes the swap. Any participant who has the right to initiate a claim and holds the necessary pre-signed transactions can act as the prover. DEX operator can act as the prover by running the application logic. Alternatively, the users involved in a swap, like Alice or Bob, may take on this role. The UX of pre-signing transactions and handling disputes is one of the most critical challenges for real-world adoption of BitVMX. The contract between Alice and Bob can be deployed via dApp interface that generates all required pre-signed transactions under the hood. In case of dispute, users don’t need to act alone. The system may rely on watchtowers — agents that monitor the blockchain and execute challenge protocols on behalf of users. BitVMX UX will likely follow a similar evolution to the Lightning Network. How does Cardano fit into this? Cardano smart contracts can run on Bitcoin through a compilation pipeline that converts Cardano-native languages like Aiken or Plutus into Untyped Plutus Core (UPLC), a minimal functional language. IOG has built a compiler that translates UPLC into RISC-V machine code, which BitVMX supports. The compiled RISC-V program runs in BitVMX’s off-chain VM. The execution uses Bitcoin UTXOs, Bitcoin transactions, and Bitcoin fees. Cardano's blockchain is not involved. To involve Cardano itself, so its tokens, dApps, or ledger state, a cross-chain bridge is required. Then, for instance, a cross-chain DEX could accept BTC on the Bitcoin side and match it against liquidity held in USDM on the Cardano side, enforcing settlement conditions across both networks. Conversely, a cross-chain bridge would also allow BTC to become a first-class asset within the Cardano ecosystem. This would mean locking BTC on Bitcoin using BitVMX, and minting a wrapped representation on Cardano that is fully usable within Plutus-based dApps. BTC could be deposited into Cardano-native lending platforms, used to provide liquidity on Cardano DEXs like MinSwap, used for lending in Liqwid, or serve as collateral in Cardano-based stablecoin systems. There is a chance that IOG will reveal preliminary work on bridging Bitcoin and Cardano, allowing Cardano native assets (like USDM) to be used in conjunction with BTC. It would be a nice surprise. Cardano developers can build DeFi on top of Bitcoin. It may be natural for them to connect the Cardano and Bitcoin ecosystems.
