@helloSQD· 22 days agoSQD: Our 5-Year Evolution Everyone always asks when SQD will moon, but no one asks how did SQD even start? Like any big journey, it started with a niche obsession by one of the protagonists. Act 1: The Meeting. Despite much of his time being consumed by research for his PhD studies, @dizhel always found time to spend on crypto forums, quickly realizing the potential of the technology. He was convinced to the point of being willing to quit his math PhD. In the end, he didn’t, but became a Messari community analyst on the side. After traveling to DAppCon, one encounter led to another, and after an evening on the roofs over Berlin, he met @i_1337_i, who ended up offering him a job. Act 2: Trials and Tribulations Unfortunately, this first collaboration did not result in a revolution but was torn apart by another crypto winter, leading our Co-Founders to part ways. Undeterred by the cold, both remained in the crypto space. Dmitry joined a video streaming startup in the Polkadot ecosystem and, as part of the indexing team, quickly stumbled across a major problem: accessing blockchain data is hard. His MVP wins the infra track at the Web3 Foundation hackathon. After reconnecting with MF, they both officially established Subsquid Labs, raising their seed round with 80% marketshare in the Polkadot ecosystem and an ambitious whitepaper powered by hard math. Act 3: From Underdog to Established Since establishing the company, SQD (formerly Subsquid) has been on a steady growth trajectory, expanding the engineering team, increasing the network size, and gradually establishing ourselves as a serious contender in the blockchain data access space. We went from just a little squid to having partnered with the Deutsche Telekom, integrations with Google Cloud, and powering the backend of PancakeSwap and other million-user apps. But we’re far from done.

@0xTulipKing· 27 days agoMonero is one of the best performing assets of the year and nobody has noticed. (*As of Writing) Monero sits at the top with a ~65% gain, adding $3.8 billion to its market cap in 2025. With a fully circulating supply and $500 million in weekly volume, this is real price action. Why? we're entering an era of financial repression that will make privacy coins essential infrastructure: Developed nations are drowning in debt that requires lower rates to service, but the traditional playbook, central bank money printing, now carries immediate inflationary consequences. Politicians understand the new reality: print money, spike inflation, lose your job. But they still need to finance massive deficits. The solution? Financial repression through "soft" capital controls.Think of it as a forced bid for government debt. Instead of the Fed printing to buy bonds, they'll simply redirect the money already in 401ks. This playbook has historical precedence as well.. In 1933, FDR seized Americans' gold through Executive Order 6102. In 2022, the G7 froze $300 billion in Russian reserves. During the Canadian trucker protests, authorities froze bank accounts without court orders to "act as a deterrent." The infrastructure for financial control already exists; what's changing is the willingness to use it. Gold got this trade first as central banks added over 1,000 tonnes in 2024, the second-highest annual purchase on record. China, Russia, and India are hoarding physical metal because, after watching Russian reserves get frozen, they understand that dollar-denominated assets exist at the pleasure of Washington. But gold has limitations: It's heavy, requires physical storage, and smaller nations lack the infrastructure to custody it securely. Enter Monero. While Bitcoin offers pseudonymity that's increasingly compromised by chain analysis, Monero provides actual financial privacy through ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transactions. In a world trending toward capital controls and financial surveillance, the difference between pseudonymous and private becomes all the more important. ... @defi_monk· 29 days ago$PUMP's tokenomics leaves much to be desired but we think CT may still be conflating poor initial sentiment with the real supply dynamics at TGE. High level takeaways: - It was initially rumored that PUMP would be allocating 25% of supply to the ICO. That has been bumped up to 33%, mostly from the private side as demand there likely exceeded expectations. According to @VannaCharmer, this is new information to the funds participating. So instead of a $1B raise, it is now a $1.3B raise. - There is no real commentary on the airdrop and more importantly, the token value accrual mechanism. $BONK recently flipped pump in market share while using 50% of fees to buyback and burn the $BONK token. This probably adds a bit of pressure for the pump team to adjust, and it is a little disappointing not to see clarity there before such a large ICO. - However, I still think the ST setup for the TGE is attractive, even if the initial reaction from CT is mostly negative. They rolled out the DKG V8.1, letting folks stake $TRAC and pushing the boundaries of trusted AI infrastructure. The crew showed off their decentralized AI chops at ETH Belgrade and DeSci Berlin, and they’re teaming up with big names like NVIDIA and Oxford for the EU’s ELSA initiative to keep genomic data secure. Plus, they hooked up with Umanitek to boost child protection through the Guardian AI agent, pretty cool stuff. They also spread $TRAC’s wings on MEXC and Hydration’s Omnipool, solidifying its spot in the world of verifiable, privacy-first AI solutions. 2. @PhalaNetwork’s been grinding hard in June, pushing the envelope on secure AI and blockchain mashups with their TEEs. @SteimetzKinji· about 2 months agoFading Faith in the Monetary Premium Key takeaways from my latest @MessariCrypto report We believe the market is moving away from the idea that L1 tokens should be valued primarily on monetary premium. That framework, where token prices scale with chain-level economic activity, gained traction in early 2024, with FDV to Chain GDP correlations peaking just below 0.2. But those correlations have since collapsed to near zero, pointing to a broad market rejection of the monetary premium thesis. In its place, REV has started to gain ground. While the absolute correlation between FDV and REV remains low at 0.07, it now exceeds that of GDP. We see this as an early signal that markets may be searching for a more durable valuation anchor that ties price to value capture rather than raw activity. Bitcoin remains the dominant macro factor, with stronger correlations than either GDP or REV. Importantly, Bitcoin still dominates as the macro anchor. FDV correlations with BTC remain much stronger than with either GDP or REV. This mirrors patterns in traditional markets, where risk assets often trade more closely with peers than with their fundamentals. But beneath that macro layer, the message is clear: the market no longer seems to believe in the monetary premium narrative. If any valuation anchor is emerging, it’s REV.
