Here's everything you need to know 👇 As one of the earliest proponents of Proof-of-Stake, PSTAKE has been at the forefront of liquid staking since its early days. With Bitcoin Staking, there seemed to be a new paradigm and opportunity rising to replicate Staking for the largest crypto asset. However, with limited retail interest, tech developments on Bitcoin chains, and minimal progress on BTCFi adoption over the last few months, it was imperative to look at other meaningful alternatives to grow PSTAKE along with its community. 1) What’s next? With the addition of several new contributors to the project recently, the larger, exciting vision will be shared in a Community AMA on 8 July 2025 at 4 PM UTC. ICYMI, PSTAKE stopped support for Cosmos in March 2025 to focus entirely on the Bitcoin Ecosystem. A deprecation utility was launched wherein users could go to the PSTAKE frontend and burn their stkAssets to receive underlying assets ( $ATOM, $OSMO, $DYDX, $STARS, $HUAHUA) back. All you need to know about PSTAKE's Cosmos Deprecation 👉 https://t.co/LliPsgo4aw While progress has been made, a significant amount of stkAssets are sitting idle on the @PersistenceOne chain and not earning any yield for users. PSTAKE has also set a hard deadline of 30 September 2025 to keep deprecation support active. With the new upgrade, all idle (not locked in any contract) stkAssets on the Persistence core-1 chain will be burnt, and the underlying respective Assets will be sent back to holders, without any user interaction. This gives a no-click experience for users to securely receive their funds back, thus significantly improving the Cosmos Liquid Staking deprecation process.
