Saito had to go against the grain to build the ecosystem it has today. But rather than thousands of tokens and centralized front-ends we're replacing web2 with: Gaming Social Media Video Calls (better than Zoom) Crypto Livestreaming Fileshare + all working seamlessly together P2P and onchain.

Core Node ⚙️ Update Summary (v0.2.113) ♦️Blockchain Renamed spent filter to spendable filter for clarity. Improved UTXO filter logic and added clearer trace logs. Wallet logs now include block IDs and tx counts during reorganizations. Skipped rebroadcast of NFT slips outside valid groups to reduce spam. Rebroadcast logic updated to keep original signatures and clean payout math. Added new trace logs for block hashes in consensus checks. ♦️Consensus & Wallet WindingResult refactored to track old and new chains directly. Chain unwind logic now copies subset vectors instead of rebuilding full lists. Simplified add_slip logic in wallet. Removed unused peer stat updates from consensus flow. Dropped redundant rebroadcast checks and moved debug to trace. ♦️Verification Thread Removed unused VecDeque import and drain call. Block validation now double-checks NFT slip integrity. ♦️Network & Routing Peer list access now uses lighter locks. Congested peers detected and dropped cleanly. Removed outdated peer stat update logic. Refined congestion tracking on transactions and connections.
Application Layer 🦄 Update Summary ♦️RedSquare Removed old curation toggle event handlers and sidebar JS logic. Settings page logic updated. Sidebar CSS spacing and layout cleaned. Tweet row spacing and like buttons adjusted. Header stroke color tweaked to match theme. ♦️Browser & Upload File upload refactored to read both array buffers and text files. Improved drag/drop parsing for uploads. ♦️Saito Profile Edit icon added for easier changes. Shows default text when description is missing. ♦️Themes & CSS Big refactor: replaced generic color vars with saito-specific vars. Deleted old arcade theme and duplicate font-face blocks. Chess fonts updated; sangre theme colors refined. Scrollbars, borders, buttons, and overlays updated to new color vars. Removed text shadows, fixed sidebar borders and mod template alignment. Tweaks across chat, video call, and manager lists. ♦️Arcade Invite identicon borders updated to use theme vars. Overlay text shadows switched to CSS variables. Old comments and unused CSS cleaned. ♦️Paths of Glory Map update: Libya, Alexandria, Port Said, and Cairo now start as allied. Friendly port logs added during supply tracing. Background image replaced for cleaner look. ♦️HIS England now starts with extra units in setup. Minor overlay logic cleanups. ♦️Twilight Overlay now falls back to default images if missing. ♦️General Package versions bumped: saito-js and saito-wasm to 0.2.111. Removed legacy styles and cleaned layout spacing. Small tweaks to overlay templates and drag/drop hints.
This week in Saito Development 🔧 Our blockchain is built to approach the physical limits of scale; it's crucial that the default network configurations match what consensus is capable of. That, improvements to UTXO handling, Red Square's refactoring, NFT work, and more highlighted in this week's dev notes: 🧵
Bitchat is pretty cool, very Saito-like. We of course believe Bitchat could be improved with Saito's Public Key Infrastructure and richer feature set. And the joy of open source is that there's no technological barrier preventing it.
Building on Saito is different because Saito is built different. 😉
So far in 2025 Saito has jumped ahead of the roadmap and still found time to design and implement native, divisible NFTs. Building on Saito is different, but it isn't difficult. Time to start thinking about what you want to build. Team is here to help developers however we can. https://t.co/JEA8VnZ0y1

Saito will make Kafkaesque situations like this entirely avoidable.
Saito makes the Open Internet profitable. On Saito, full nodes can monetize services like video calls, chat, gaming, and more, directly on the network, without user registration, KYC, or data collection. There’s no need to trust data-hungry, centralized front-ends. A tiny fee covers routing, inclusion, and service. Rational nodes compete with better open source applications and shorter latency; the chain offers a unified layer for all services. Developers can build secure, interoperable online apps without the help or permission of network custodians. This is only possible at scale by using Saito as a decentralized PKI. NFTs, tokens, and native Saito payments will soon join the network, multiplying the possibilities. A more private, free and open internet is not just possible, but profitable on Saito.

Big tech profits by harvesting your personal data. Saito is making user privacy, freedom, and control a profitable business model. Tech-optimism is alive on Saito.
RT @cryptofundst: To the Gaming Community: You’re Sitting on a Goldmine Let’s talk real ownership economies. Let’s talk fractionalized NFTs. Let’s talk @SaitoOfficial. If you’re building decentralized games, or thinking about it, you need to understand what’s quietly becoming possible under the hood. Because we just unlocked something big. Most chains still treat NFTs like JPEGs with delusions of grandeur. You own them, sure, but can you divide them? Can you link them to real on-chain logic? Can you use them to fuel player-driven economies with embedded governance, access rights, royalty distribution, and composable logic? On Saito, yes you can. Here’s how it works: Fractionalized NFTs natively supported. NFTs on Saito are UTXOs (like Bitcoin), but bound to standard UTXOs. That means you can re-use the amount field to represent fractions of a single NFT, or make them indivisible. Your call. A sword in your game? Fractionalize it. A legendary asset? Bundle it, tokenize it, and let your players own a slice. A shared guild asset? Let DAO members vote and profit accordingly. Even better, custom on-chain scripts can define who can divide, recombine, or transfer that NFT. Want royalty splits? Access restrictions? Staking rights? No need to bend the chain, just write the logic. That’s how you build real digital property in gaming. We’re not building games, we barely have enough arms (and brain cells left) to finish our own stack. But some of you reading this could build the next Runescape of crypto. And this tech stack is here. Waiting. Sleeping. Someone will figure it out. Might as well be you. #CryptoFundamentalist #DecentralizedGaming #Saito #NFTs #Web3Games #FractionalOwnership #BuildWithPurpose

RT @dlancashi: @cryptofundst @SaitoOfficial yes - already natively supported too! how it works is that NFTs have utxos that are put into transactions like normal SAITO utxos. the difference is that they are "bound" to normal SAITO utxo so that only the owner of that normal utxo can move/spend them.
